Playseat challenge

Hi there !! Just found a foldable seat on playseat web site and I am wondering if anyone has any experience of this kit as I am looking to upgrade from wheelstand pro ,or is there any other similar systems out there as the handbrake/wife says that it must fold away out of sight .
Regards Mike .

The playseat is a bit different than the wheelstand pro, it doesn't really fold up much at all like the WS Pro. You can fold the top part of the seat down, but to make it as small as it can be, you'll need to loosen the bottom bar with the black screw. The problem becomes the pedals tend to stick out too much as they aren't adjustable. I'm sure the WS Pro will fit in a closed nicely, the playseat would basically still fit in there, but take up the whole bottom floor.

I do believe the OP is talking about the Playseat Challenge and not the Evolution or Alcantara.

Yeah ! That's the seat I've seen on EVaders picture ,has anybody got one or used one to give some feedback on it .
Regards mike .

Seems a little costly for what it is at $300 US, but if it was maybe $100 I would think it was dang cool. There are some decent you tube vids of it out there.

Just got one of these, although a little pricy for what it is its of a very high quality I really like mine ideal if your room, it's adjustable too for different hight etc
Just right for me anyways .....

Hi,

I've got one of these as well, for the same reasons as your good self - gotta be stored away.

In that regard, it is very good indeed. It folds up simply, and you've got two velcro straps to hold it securely, top and bottom.

The one area I would moan about is the height of the steering wheel platform is non-adjustable. I've got a Fanatec GT3RS screwed on it, and with my delicate frame enclosed in the seat, the wheel is far too high up.

To get round this, the placement of a cushion under the posterior works wonders. Depending on your size, you might also want one behind your back as well.

Not trying to put you off, quite the reverse, and if you're over 6 foot, this probably won't be relevant, but might be of use to other types who are looking.

Other than the above mentioned gripe (which is fully fixed with aforementioned cushion), it's a really good addition to the whole experience.

Good luck... 👍

Hi there, you say your using a gt3rs and I'm wondering as I have the elite pedals do they fit ok as on the pics it looks like Velcro holding pedals on ????

There's something odd-looking about the Playseat Challenge, the way the seat is so sharply reclined and your thighs supported upwards but the pedal mount is on the floor. You have to stab downwards at the pedals, based on the supposed lower leg position.

Anyone that can comment on the pedals being flat on the floor? Does it feel bad or?

Wonder if it would be easy to mod it to support an angle for the pedals

I bought this yesterday and it arrived today.

What a fantastc piece of furniture. And more stable then I expected from a Fisherman's chair!
