I just got this yesterday and I must say...it is definately the ultimate in driving simulation, the degree of realism is just (un)real. The one nice touch about the Evo is that you can bolt the whole G25 setup to the frame, so it is super rigid! The shifter being able to be used on either your left or right side is also a great addition If anyone want some detail pics please let me know and I'll put them up. For now I'm only putting up a couple of general pics I just took. Let me know what you think!

I have used mine for a year or something and I agree it´s a good cockpit for the G25... Shifter plate was far to low for my taste though but I am sure you will be as happy with it as I was :)... If you buy heavier wheels or wheels with stronger force feedback and stiffer pedals you need another cockpit though :)

i see that you used the extra pedal mount bracket on your setup. i still don't get why they included that. i set mine up without it. is there any real use in using that extra bracket for the g25 pedals?

Just provides somewhere to rest your heels on...

Much more ergonomic... Also it clamps down my G25 pedals really well so I don´t have to bolt them on or using crappy velcro :)

nice set up man .. i have the same chair but with black leather :) and gearshifter extender is to the right
feels great rigid and really racy feeling :) and i can sit there for 2 hours and dont feel any pain or being uncomfortable
other cockpits are either way too low or way too high and u end up feeling like you sit in a computer chair and having your pedals all way at the bottom

so i hear Pleayseats will be coming out with a new design soon... not sure how soon tho. thats why lots of their products have discounts on them

the only thing i really dont like about this seat is that the paint on the ground support rail scrapes really easily :(

i have the same set up and love it too.

my question about the g25 wheel is when doing b spec mode what buttons on the shifter correspond to the overtake, pit, view, etc buttons on the hand held controller?

thanks

its the same setup up as the PS2 controller..
the 2 red buttons on wheel are look back and NOS button...

the arrow keys.. are the arrow keys

the 4 black buttons are the main buttons.. the one on bottom is X.. top is TRIANGLE, left is SQUARE.. and right is CIRCLE

the 4 red buttons from left to right...
L3, select, start R3

if not that its either the

R3, select, start, L3

easy as PS2 Controller :)

what is the velcro used for? i bolted the pedal to the pedal base using 4 allen screws with the included tool. it took 2 seconds to setup and is rock sturdy. why would anyone use the velcro? they included tons of them too. or is the velcro for people without the evo cockpit and for use with carpet only? also my pedals are clamped on perfectly fine without the extra piece.

but since you say it is more ergonomic, i'm gonna have to go home and put the thing on anyway :) :)

also did you use the two pairs of stoppers that were included? if yes u put them on the steering wheel column right? thanks in advance!

Stoppers?

You use them if you don´t want to permanently attach the pedals, or have pedals, wheels without holes for mounting.

It´s quite a hassle each time you want to switch wheel to unbolt them. Especially since for me there was no point bolting the pedals down... I later got the nixim progressive brake mod for the G25 then i had to bolt them down but then the playseat wasn´t stable enough to use that anyway...

yes but they don´t help much... Seems different for each playseat... I know some that had to solder it permanently for me it was enough to tighten them like hell... Still would get loose after some month hehe
