Playseat evolution

I think you need a special plate (sold by Playseats) for adapting the MS wheel. I'm thinking in buying a Playseat classic, i'm not sure though, people say its less rigid than the Evo :guilty:, however its $100 cheaper. Apart for the plate needed for the MS wheel, it works with both G25 and MS.

This is the Amazon.com site for the Playseat EVO, have a look for people opinion's and at the accesories you need. I think it also says the size of the driver, if not you can find it here, in Playseats official store.

Good luck with your purchase, tell me how it feels :sly:.

Anyone have one? Thinking about getting one. Will it work with both the M$ wheel and a G25? I'm about 6'2", is it big enough?

I've had a guy who is 6'10" in mine before and he had no trouble at all with it. The seat isn't very wide though. I'm 6'1" and 240 and the seat is just wide enough for me. As far as mounting the 360 wheel goes, the plate is very thin on the playseat and the xbox mounting bracket won't clamp to it. I used an old piece of hardwood floor I had left over, and some zip ties to clamp mine down. Really the xbox 360 wheels mounting device won't mount well to anything. It just doesn't have the strength to hold the wheel firm.
I wouldn't buy the playseat 360 wheel adapter if I were you, I would just wait until I got the wheel and figure something out for yourself.

I like my playseat, but I think I would have liked the obutto better because of there not being the bar in the middle. The bar isn't to big of a deal, but it gets in the way sometimes. With the G25 pedals you have to mount them offset to the right to be able to right foot brake, and putting them over on the side bends the pedal plate a little. The obutto just looks more solid all around.
Also 330$ is alot for the playseat. I got mine from amazon for 240$ with free shipping. After looking more though it looks like the prices have went up on them. If you were going to spend that much money I would look at this setup instead. http://www.obutto.com/products.html
They have changed the obutto seat some and it looks better then before. With the shipping of the obutto it looks like you could get it close to the same price as the playseat. Again though, the playseat isn't a bad setup, but for 330$ I think they obutto might be a little better. If you look around the forum enough I think there might be someone who did a comparison between the 2 seats.
