Please Help, cannot solve last Music Rally „Can`t stop the classics“

Hello dears members,

for two days i am a proud owner of gt7 now and my frustration level is very high in the moment.
For me, it is total impossible to complet the last music rally race, no matter, what i try. When the time is up i hove still 1 km to drive to get bronce, i dont know, what i am doing wrong.
When i set up all help, this is the best i get (1 km missing). and when i try without abs for example or without the tracking the difference is even more. Can anyone please help me, what is the best setting, please ? I am not very good at driving but i think, a game should at least let someone reach the bronze medal, so i can continue, when the next races will arrive…..

You mean the old Mercedes at Willow Springs, right? Are you using manual or automatic transmission? I felt like the car needs some short shifting to get up to speed and works best in 3rd and 4th gear.

Hi, i am using automatic, as this course is difficult for me to drive, i almost drift out of 3 or 4 curves, and the car is hard to handle

I found the car to be super nice to drive actually if you're gentle with steering inputs.
Try manual gears, you only need to shift down to 3rd once and shift back up to 4th early when straight again.

Firstly, don't worry about it; technically (according to the menus at least) it's not even part of GT7, and it's certainly not required for anything. There's no rewards for it either.

The car is a bit oversteery just due to its age. Skinny tyres, not especially sophisticated suspension and a serious lack of camber mean it needs very little provocation to get sideways. Keep on top of it and you'll be okay - a bit of sliding in the long second corner is okay, especially as the corner ends.

You will need to slipstream as much as you can and get your braking points right, which can be awkward on Willow Springs as it's a featureless blob. Try heading into the main game and doing the Circuit Experience for the track to get your eye in, and it's worth turning the braking point aids on. The section with the rabbit ear is very hard to keep your speed up, and the AI will hit you here if you're not careful

If you're not using manual it will harm your lap times.

That third lap is a bit of a beast, but once you get to the back straight of the third lap it's all straightforward as you'll pass three successive gates and gain 90 beats.

I still cannot finish this stupid last music race. I have watched all youtube videos an realised, that the other drivers have more speed in the second, long curve. I am running on 120 + kmh, they reach 130+ kmh. How is this possible ? With that speed i drift out of that curve or loose my balance. Can someone please give a tip for the settings, for traction, abs and all that please ? Many thanks in advance

I can't get anywhere near this one. Think the game is broken from the latest patch. Watching youtube vids of people driving slowly around it and still finishing.

I actually tried this and couldn't even finish last and I did all license tests on gold, so yeah I probably need to gid gud lol

That was my thought also. I have updated to 1.06 and only this last music rally event was open to do,
I saved it for the weekend. After updating i tried the whole weekend, but with no success. This is not my
kind of relaxin and driving to music tunes…..

Imo this kind of arcade modes must either be relaxing and not have draconian requirements or at least ability to turn down the bloody music, i can't even shift because music is louder than a car engine, how are you supposed to shift if you can't hear it? It just moronic and tach is so small and somewhere in the corner that you can barely see it

I have paid 60 quid for a game I am unable to access, is too clever for itself and is way too hard to actually enjoy. Both my sons have Xbox and after nearly a quarter of a century, I am putting the PS4 on Ebay and joining them.

You don't need to complete music rally to access the game. The game has plenty of faults and overall I'm disappointed with it, but the game being locked behind the music rally isn't one of the faults.

All I have is 3 Sunday Cup rally's, that's it. No progression from any races. Everything else is locked. I've been playing the Music Rally on the assumption it will unlock everything else.

No, you need to follow the menus in the cafe to unlock things. Music rally is an entirely separate thing. No wonder you thought the game was crap. lol.

But I have to say that this bugs let me regret that I payed 99 Eur for a game that buggy. Music Rally was ment for relaxing. Now, if someday new music is added I will not be able to enjoy them. If this has something to do with the update and the wrong tyre settings, the music rally is not mentioned in the daily error listings. And I searched everywhere for a way to report this bug, but it seems, polyphony is not interested in feedback, I did not find a way to do so

So, now, after update to 1.07 i finished the last race very easy with no problems, its seem it had its reason in the update 1.06

If you restart the game you should have 2 options. World Map or Music Rally. World map is the main game. Once there you will be guided on what to do through the cafe.

Follow the yellow compass icon. It will always be on the menu sections that you need to go to next.

No, just 1 car. Then the cafe will direct you to world circuits to do your first race. You will see a little yellow compass icon that highlights where you need to go.

I've been racing the Sunday Cups in the USA and Europe, how do we unlock any the other circuits? Is it a matter of winning races?

You need to complete the various "menus" that they give in the Cafe. Once you complete the objectives they require, you go back to the cafe to get the reward and a new menu to progress through the game.

Keep following the yellow compass icon, it's the way you keep unlocking things. You can ignore it and replay the things you already have access to, but there won't be any progressing.

I have the same problem and have not tried to reset from auto to manual tranny yet but it runs in 3 quite a bit and lugs to rarely get into 4th so manual would allow me more. I am about to skip the music rally as I am through national b and a licenses and internationa b with just the a to do tomorrow and I have several cars already in my garage. I have more cafe items to do but have several tracks to race on now. Getting there. Lance Pearson
