Hello, drifta, and welcome to GTPlanet. Try using the Search function for "vitz pro" - this gets covered a lot.

Look for advice from me, Famine, and Der Alta among others. Famine is the fastest of that little bunch by far.

Certainly am. Your point is what?

There are very, very many of us hybrid users. However we never compare hybrids to normal (meaning accessible through the game alone and no external means) GT3 cars. Any of my lap/race times entered at GT3Times and Racing-Line are with normal GT3 cars - except for those in the hybrid section of Racing-Line.

I can prove any of my times, and repeatedly have. What have you done?

Will you give it up already?

Famine is quite possibly the most scrupulous OLR person around here. If you are trying to imply that he cheats, call him on it. He'll gladly submit a replay to any third party for verification, kicking your ass in any car and on any track you'd like to try. In OLR competition he's repeatedly placed well and passed replay scrutiny that includes anti-hybrid verification using the MK utility program, multiple replay reviews, and even high-quality slow-motion video reviews. The 9 Boards comp requires submittals clean enough to satisfy the Attorney General. So get off it already.

You made a number of stupid, incorrect answers to easy questions. He pointed that out in the interest of preventing the spread of misinformation. You were WRONG. Get over it, and move on with your little life.

I was just saying why take info from a cheater when all he has to do is punch in a cheat and do something when u have to do it the old fashion way?? And stop using so many big words all i got out of that was u flaming me in the last paragraph. sheesh.

Taking info from me is a good idea, because I'm right. Taking info from you is a bad idea because you're dumber than a box of rocks.

Hybrids are not the same as cheating. Cheating is pretending your hybrid is the same as a normal car when it isn't.

Certainly everyone at the iLink meet I attended at the weekend - where you can only use arcade cars - would trust me. Even after I took 3 out of 4 prizes for the weekend.

Are you including the 4 way tie for first in that? :odd:

I've got a memory card full of hybrids too. As long as I don't try to pass them off as non-hybrids, which no self resecting hybrid creator/user would, then where's the problem? And those same 13 folk that were at the iLink event would trust me too.

That was truly awesome... :D - 12 races of GT Concept only to end up with a four-way tie for first... :D

lumPwin555 - empty vessel and all that.

Then use a dictionary an educate yourself. Oops, sorry, too many big words.

LEARN SOMETHING.

Gameshark = cheating.

Sharkport = NOT cheating.

Small enough words for you? Got it yet? Stop swimming in the deep end, son. You're not big enough yet.

Hehehe.... since our last pet got banned we need a new one. You're ideal. Can we keep him Duke? :D

So far he hasn't violated any official rules. If you keep him fed and watered and change his, box, you can keep him!

We need to sort out a rota though. I don't want to be responsible for him all the time. He might get too... attached (ugh).

Anyway, to answer your question.

A hybrid goes around the track - or sometimes not. Some hybrids are extremely quick. Some hybrids are rather slow. Some hybrids are based on real cars' stats (Viper Venom, BMW M3 for example). Hybrids must not, however, claim to compete on an equal footing with standard cars from the game - that's what cheats like SPD_RCR do (unless I'm crediting him with too much intelligence, and he's just making it up). Hybrids must compete in a class of their own, regardless of how fast or slow they are.

Racing-Line has a section specifically for hybrids in their database, for everything from 400m/1000m/Max Speed machine test to lap times. Have a look at it.

I apologise if any words in that post were too long for your feeble iguana mind.

Not really, no. Some cars which are present on the game disc but inaccessible in the game - the Nomad Diablo, Lancia Stratos, Alitalia Stratos, Skyline MSpec and Porsche 996 911 GT3 - are classed as hybrids, precisely because you cannot get them in the game. Even though the cars are standard as they were intended, they must be classed as hybrids.

All hybrids can ONLY use parts which are accessible in the game. For example Thrasher's famous Mini uses several added parts from other vehicles to boost it to 1200hp, a 4WD drivetrain from, I believe, the FTO LM and tyres from a P001 (or F094/S).

hey famine, on your site (GT3 apocalypse)on your top 30 car section you said "The Best Of The Best Of The Best, SIR! With Honours!", do you mean the Civic SIR or what???

No. It's a quote from "Men In Black".

And I never bothered to finish that section. I really ought to...
