Please help, Photos replays and tracks lost after using file transfer to new ps3

Please help. All photos I have ever taken in GT5 have seem to have gone. My FAT PS3 got YLOD so I bought a new one and after "heat gunning" my FAT PS3 I used the file transfer option.

All the data appeared to get transferred and my GT5 save is the right size. I have deactivated the old system and activated the new "Slim" but all my pictures are nowhere to be seen, along with replays and tracks.

Please, I'd be so grateful if anyone can suggest how to resolve this as I've spent a great deal of time snapping pics and built up a fair number of replays I want to watch (including Gold Vettel challenge which I really wanna keep)

Apologies if this is in the wrong place but it appeared to be the most appropriate.
Thanks in advance

Sorry dood, they're gone.

The replays/photos/tracks are lumped in with the game utility data that's saved on the HDD. It doesn't transfer with the "saved game data".

What is "heat gunning"?

If "heat gunning" didn't wreck your old fat ps3, why not flash it up again and do a backup of the hard-disc to a flash drive, then re-load that onto the new ps3 drive?

or am I showing my ignorance?

thanks for replies. Heat Gunning is blasting CPU and Processor with heat to re-melt solder so it re-flows and reconnects across cracks which caused YLOD.

I have since resolved the missing photo and replays. I exported all my photos from the old FAT to an external HDD.Boring process because with the replays you have to Export to XMB and copy to HDD and copy to SLIM and import into GT5 ONE BY ONE!!! Nearly 50 of em wow YAWN! Still not sure about what do do about my tracks. Gosh this game has such highs and some bizarre lows.

anyway I'm pleased to have recovered it all now. business as usual. Now I'll just look to a suitable improvement in cooling to prevent this from occuring again...
