I have been thinking f many things to do in my life, but they all of not gotten anywhere. But this is the real deal.

I have come up with the plan to bring Mystery Science Theater 3000 back. That's right. The return of MST3K.

Me, my friends Zach and Alex are into this idea, completely with this plan. We are going to gather in a theater-like room, put movie theater chairs around in one row, sit down, and watch a terrible movie. But for start, we will watch terrible episodes of any terrible tv show. Make it exactly like MST3K.

After a while, we will send in the videos to the creators of MST3K, see if they approve, and start the ship back up.

With me as Mike (but with my name), and Zach and Alex as Tom Servo or Crow.

We need as much support as we need to get the progress to 100%. Please send you support to my email at "ericdemory2296@gmail.com". We will appreciate all your support.

Thank you!

I just wanted to pop my head in to say that this is an awesome idea. Make sure you post it all here.

Um, yeah. I know you are aware that MST3K lives on as Riff Trax, but I don't think you are aware of why MST3K chose old B-movies but now do mainstream movies via Riff Trax. You will have to obtain, and pay for, licensing for every movie/TV show if you show the video of it.

Further, you may want to find some old interviews with the MST3K team to find out what all went into the production of the show. A room full of comedy writers would watch each movie a minimum of four times, create a script, and set up the timing cues. Each movie was a week-long process, and most of the staff were tired of the movie by the time it was finished.

These are all things you need to consider before you get started.

In all honesty, I doubt they would allow you to make your own version of the show since they are still in business and trying to make money off the concept. But they do have a way to let people like yourself attempt your own Riff Trax via the iRiff program, which even has the possibility of you being invited to work with them.

What is iRiffs?

Think you have the chops to make a RiffTrax?

Just create and upload your humorous commentaries on anything, set your price, and we'll do the rest by hosting and distributing your content. You'll even get your very own product page to promote your iRiff. Best of all, you share in the sales of your iRiff! We will feature the best tracks on the RiffTrax home page and the funniest stuff will rise to the top based on our user comments and star rating system.

We'll be having contests with cash prizes, and the best iRiffs' artists will get invited to work with Mike Nelson and the RiffTrax guys, and get paid to make a RiffTrax Presents!

I would go that route.

I'd love to see your first production before I try to use the Google phone to make a long distance support for your idea, I think you have a huge challenge but nothing ventured ...

Thanks for some extra details. 👍

It will be a while for the group to start up. But I will make a short with a movie theater set up poorly for now. This isn't even the begin. :scared:

I don't know, it just sounds like a good idea. I have no idea what you guys are doing, cause I don't really understand it that well, but it sounds okay.

Thanks for your support! 👍

Attention everyone! I am going to need your help with terrible show nominations. Send me a message to ericdemory2296@gmail.com for your nominations. Thank you!

There are already tons of people who dub stuff on youtube.

There are many terrible movies in that nationality genre.
There you go.

But, as Omnis said, a lot of people already do this. Hell, I have a few buddies who occasionally go on Live!, stream a bad film or 2 from Netflix & then we just sit there ripping it for 2-4 hours.

But, have they ever thought of bringing the show back?

Im not to sure how a bunch of 14 year olds is going to bring a show back but I guess that means I should wish you luck.

Goooooooooooooooooooddddddddddd luuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuckkkkkkkkkk crooooooooooooooooooow!

I'm not sure how I can support you, but good luck anyways. But I wonder how you even know about this show when it went off the air when you were three, and I haven't seen it on TV since.

No, & that's not why we do it. It's just a good way for us to relax and have fun. Usually by the end of the first show, 1 of us is drunk & just ripping the hell out of the 2nd.

What were some bad shows you all watched?

I'll look back through our queue since we usually wrote down what we thought looked interesting. Most of it contained over the top gory Japanese movies just b/c of the sheer stupidity & my buddies usually picked out the flick. Van Damme & Segal movies usually make for some good ripping.
