hi all im sat here scratching my head wondering how people have managed to get photo shots of their car spitting flames

when my car back-fires i rewind so i can take a picture but the back-fire isnt there anymore :/

only way i can do it is keep pressing pause when changing gear hoping i catch it 💡

if you could put me out this misery id be very thankful :sly:

Thanks,

Any flames I have caught on camera were pure luck, not sure if there is a surefire way but more than likely it is by chance or photoshop.

Yeah every time ive caught one "By keep pressing pause after changing gear" its looked like a white blur

other peoples ive come across have got the flame in detail :/ lol
so yeah maybe photoshop :|

Thanks anyway Mate 👍

Yeah its just luck and unfortunately the exposure length captures it as a moving object so unfortunately it just looks like a white streak. FM4 is better and more flame like but also suffers from the stretched flame in long exposure.

Thank you for your help!!

Use the rewind/watch replay trick with shutter speed set to 0 and it possible to get flame pics like this :)
