Please Help

I just got the game a few days ago and tried to install the 8 GB at the start let it go for about 2 hours and it didnt move from less than a quarter there the entire time. So then I though maby I will let it go for longer so I let it go for 10-12 hours and the ps3 hadn't crashed but if i pressed O to cancle it didnt work. so I though **** it I will let the game install as I play and I tried to start a race waited a good 10 minutes and none of the cars had loaded. the game is pretty much unplayable because of the loading times. I really just want to play the game is there any soultion to my problam. Also i checked after 10-12 hours of letting it install the 8 GB game files. the game said there was 910 MB of files.

Personally I would delete your game data and start again. You may have corrupt some of the data by trying to cancel and play.
Mine started with about 9 hours on the clock, then upped to 13 hours when it got half way through. The whole install only took about 30-40 minutes and I left it and did something else as it was doing so.

Are you installing it from the options menu?

If yes, this may possibly be your problem.

1. Exit the game, then go to "Game Data Utility" in your XMB (not "Save Data Utility"). Locat your GT5 Game Data then click triangle and then click delete.

2. Start GT5 and download and install patches.

3. After the patches are done installing, you will be prompted to install the 8GBs of the game (like you have been trying to do), but this time it will be done before startup.

Try that and let us know if you are still having problems.

tried it and it stopped in the same place the only thing that was diffrent was it said 30 minutes left not 4 or 20

Is it still running or did you shut it off?

Let it run for a hour or two.

Hi guys, what if you keep getting errors while the patch is downloading?
Is there anyway around this problem?
It usually goes to 25% then gives an error. I have a 6mb line which is very stable.

I FIXED IT YAY I got a new disc and cleared all of the gt5 data and it is now working!
