If there is something about a question that you don't understand, or that doesn't make sense to you, you can ask for clarification, like "I can only see three pedals, where do you see the fourth?", or "there are only three pedals, what you count as a fourth is actually a [whatever you think it is]".

Jesus! I was quite glad when I saw 13 replies on this suggestion and thought it was something about the car, but when I saw that many of them was only arguing about a good question, about the fourth pedal (the parking brake), it was just a little bit annoying...
