Great shot LDS :) 👍
I like how you can faintly see Nissan through the mist in the back of the skyline.

Final Entry

Runner Up

This was an extremely tough decision on which to enter. I either had the full bodied detail of the Final entry, or, the glare of the water with the Runner up. It was indeed a hard decision, but I decided that detail and a better angle for the wet slide prevailed over glare and more apparent motion

Swiss: his head is also swiveled more in the Final, and his steering motion is more pronounced. Just noticed that now.

atlop - great entry! The light capturing makes it look very real.
tupac - i think you made the right call there. I like how bob's head sticks out past the roll cage.

not that it matters. As usual, atlop has outshone me. :P It just never fails. I dunno how he does what he does with freaking brightness/contrast.

However, I really don't like the 350z at all

the ingame blur also makes a big difference. When thats combined with the right lighting ingame, the results are as shown in his shot.

Lol, did not see your 350Z "disclaimer" before I quoted your post. Maybe I need glasses. :indiff: Anyway very smart to post that in size 1 font seeing as how that's the all time most popular car in this forum.

About the brightness and contrast I would say only two things: 1) don't forget the gamma (that is also allowed) and 2) use an angle where light comes from behind the "camera".

LOL i don't even know where the gamma setting IS in Photoshop. much less use it.

I still don't like the 350Z. Popular opinion be damned. There, now it is large enough for everyone to see :sly:

Wow Atlop and Swiss, it's great to keep saving photos in my personal archive, even these days when the forum is not so active like in the past. The quality is still so high 👍

ah dammit...looks like 3rd is my best chance now. and LdS' photo is no slouch either...lol.

But DAMN swiss...that is NICE. the colour is so rich, and yet it's also bright...i need to find that gamma setting and screw around with it, lol

Thanks tupac!

Swiss is tackling some understeer?
just a little bit man, made the corner though.

All those entries look soooooo good that I decided to change mine to another one from the same set. :) Oh and I have no idea what gamma values are, how to adjust them, or if its even possible to adjust in GIMP(which is what I'm using.)

Less of a drift, more of a first time around tsukuba wet with no aids...ish:D

Thanks:tup:
