Poll: How often do you use your Top Gear?

Derived from Parnelli Bone's "How often do you use FIRST GEAR?", this thread was created to determine how often do members of the GT4 community use the Top Gear of their car, which can range from one two gears, to seven gears, like the BMW M5 or the Formula Gran Turismo.

So, how often do you use your Top Gear?

Neither.

It depends on the car and the track.

Some cars I deliberately run too long of gears to make it somewhat like a "production" vehicle that has to meet certain fuel economy standards, others I gear to their absolute top speed, and then others I'll gear tighter than they could use for better acceleration through the gears to that speed.

Depends on the car. The Bread Van (Impreza Wagon) can hit 6th gear on Capri, but the NSX-R only manages 4th or 5th.

This thread is definitely not as prone to lengthy discussions as the first gear thread. Anyway, I use whatever the highest gear is that the car demands when using the stock transmission, and in general I adjust full-customize transmissions to reach the top of the powerband in the highest gear. However, if the car wheelspins a lot, and especially if the track is bumpy as well, I will sometimes set it to use one gear less than is available, e.g. using 5 of 6 gears in an LMP on Opera Paris or Hong Kong.
