No matter how 'complete' GT5 would have been, we would have found something disappointing. It is inevitable as our true desires to experience reality through a video game will never be satisfied, this is only natural and realistic.
In the sense of function, progression, and improvement; Gran Turismo is a Racing Simulator and to me the most critical aspect of this is the experience you achieve when driving the cars, be it cruising, flying, or on the limit. In this regard, Gran Turismo has done an exceptional job with clear improvement throughout the series. For me, everything else is a bonus.
We should be glad that Polyphony Digital have given us well over a decade of beautiful simulator driving experience and fun simply from sitting on our couches, or behind our racing wheels, at home. Let us just hope that future updates (improbable) or Gran Turismo 6 (probable) will satisfy many of our desires for the sake of all.
