Surprisingly, we've seen more original creations than replicas. Time to change that. Livery and image by @TYLER2013 - (click for full-size)

This Fortnight's Theme
Replicas and original work were discussed in the last competition. it's only fair to let you know that this round is all about replicas! Now that we've gotten a few more cars to play with, who knows what to expect! let's hear what @TYLER2013 has to say:

As a huge fan of replicas of real cars brought to GT Sport. I had the idea to challenge everyone to recreate any replica and bring it to GTS. It can be anything from basic special editions of stock cars, past Gran Turismo classics to world famous race cars or movie cars. Cars must be a replica, name of the car or where it appears is a must.

CARS: All (no VGT)
LIVERIES: Replicas, Anything as long as it's stated where it's from(movie, show, game, etc) or its real world counterpart.
USER MADE DECALS: No limit
LOCATIONS: Shiretoko or White Sands 01/09 for the main pics
UNIQUE RESTRICTIONS:
- Must post reference photo!
- The bonus shot must be comparable to the car you are replicating. It should be in the same angle as the reference photo of said car.
- Not mandatory but recommended: make a custom helmet and suit to match the replica.

26, 24 and 19.

26 is an insane amount of work, like, literally insane.( I’m a moron and picked the wrong button)

24 is the coolest livery here, like I’ve never seen it before and it’s amazing. And then the actual entry is identical, despite how tricky the shapes and layout are.

19 is just the cleanest BGT livery I’ve seen.

My choices:

#26 - @MatskiMonk 's masterpiece, a vote purely to reward the effort involved in recreating the artwork on the bonnet and managing to get it finished in time.
#9 - I'm not a fan of the livery in real life, but @syntex123 has done a fantastic job in making a perfect replica.
#10 - Another well crafted livery by @JKcreativeworks

Honourable mentions to #24 and #19 not voted for as I'm just not a fan of the cars but the workmanship is second to none and to #4 as I had the same Scalextric car as a kid!

Having spent the best part of the evening trying to clear the entries up for the poll with Syntex I have little sympathy for those who have been DQ'd. If you're wondering why you've been DQ'd it's either for image size infractions or not following the recommended settings for the entry pics. The rules are clear for everyone and in the 14th running of the comp we can't keep making the same allowances, lines have to be drawn.

Sorry to all disqualified entries - I hate to do it. Take this as a reminder to properly read the rules next time, and if in doubt: PM me! I'm happy to assist. But I won't keep reminding you to fix your entry in the thread anymore. Those days are over. I have to promise myself this too, I fail all the time. Why? I care about all of you and want to see your entry make the poll.

If the rules are too strict, voice your opinion here. I'm sure we can work something out. But it won't work if the new rules aren't read then either, right?

Each round there is at least one person who lashes out and becomes sour, either in the thread or in a PM. That can be avoidable if you do your job like I do mine. I spend several hours every day(dare I say 80% of my waking hours) making sure these threads are going smooth, and everyone is happy.

Glad you like my creation @BLiTZ - I totally agree on what you say. That Gr.3 GT-R is my least driven Nissan, I do not like that thing! But the design looks better on the Super GT. :lol:

I placed my votes and when I came back to the page they didn’t seem to keep, I assumed this was another iOS glitch so I voted for the same again... how do I fix this and what’s going on lol, I usually vote from my pc rather than phone

Syntex re-did the poll after the first few votes as a DQ'd entry slipped through the net, all the entries after 22 went down a number so voting for 27 again meant you voted for what was 28 first time round, I nearly did the same thing myself.

I don't think you can change votes once they're done.

#26 is my obvious choice, it's a masterpiece of both quality and dedication. That one is going on my Z4 GT3 no matter what, amazing work!

Then #11, the Modulo NSX. The comparison shot had me stunned for a while trying to get which is the GTS picture and which is the real thing. Just wow.

And eventually went with #23, the accuracy to the real deal is insane, and once again the comparison shot got me.

This was the hardest time I had voting, as I probably would have needed 10 or more votes, considering the level. Huge, huge congratulations to everyone who entered, so many great liveries! :cheers:

Anyhow, I could easily have given 6 or 7 votes this time around, but in the end I settled on Syntex's Gr.2 GTR, Baliwa's Studie M6 and Cytoria's Gr.3 NSX. It's tricky with replica contests to find the balance between the objective side of it, and simply what you like the look of - but I'd also have voted for Crox's R8, Lebowski's Gr.2 NSX, JK's Porsche, or Daan's Huracan on similar grounds to those on which I cast my 3 votes.

Anyway, well done everybody.
