To Celebrate the 50th Running of the Nürburgring 24 Hours

THIS MONTH'S THEME

Nürburgring. The Green Hell. last months winner @MatskiMonk has set the ultimate task, with focus on the 24 Hours of Nürburgring. Many iconic cars have raced, many cool liveries have been made fan favorites. Which one is yours? I guess we'll find out.. I don't have to say more, let's hear it from the man himself:

"To pay tribute to the legendary circuit, and truly epic annual 24 hour race, for this competition the limitations are as follows; Recreate a livery from any 24 Hour race on the Nordschleife since 1970. It does not have to be on the correct car, but the car should be of a type you would/would have seen racing on the Nordschleife. (The prototypes that ran the 1000km/6 hours don't count!)"


CARS :
  • GT's (Gr.3, Gr.4), Touring Cars, Cup cars, Tuned road cars, nothing higher than Gr.3 or open wheel.

BODY PARTS / WIDEBODY :
  • No limit.

LIVERIES :
  • Replicas, but creative freedom on how they're applied to different cars if required.

UNIQUE RESTRICTIONS :
  • None.

BONUS PICTURE SETTINGS :
  • Race photos or scapes from the Nürburgring.

USER MADE DECALS :
  • Allowed.

The poll will end on July 8th, 2022 at 23:59 UTC.
This means you have one week to decide which entries to vote for. After the winner is decided, they will decide the next Livery Editor Competition’s theme. They'll further be responsible for keeping an eye out on the entries of that next competition if entries match the set theme sufficiently.

Please note: You can NOT vote for your own work and you can vote for two - 2 - entries.

Most, if not all entries have spoilers, they definitely show the liveries in the way the creator intended, be sure to view those as well.

Quite a hard decision this one, luckily with the absence of around 300 iconic N24 cars and liveries it was a bit easier than I thought when the LEC started.
In the end I went for the NSX GT500 as I'm a bit of a sucker for anything JGTC related and while it's a simple design it's been very well executed. My second vote went to the M4 Gr.4, which closely edged out the Walkenhorst (or Walkenhands? :scared:) M6, NFS Z4 and Genesis Coupe.

EDIT: Turns out the NSX headed for a DSQ, changed my vote to the Z4 :)

As always there’s some amazing liveries, but #12 & #21 get my votes. After putting all those bulls on my Lambo I can appreciate the mind numbing effort the BMW must’ve taken and the cleaness of the Green snake Merc just stood out to me
 
Tried to force through 3 votes before settling on 11 and 21.

Just something about that NSX.
I know it was probably one of the simpler designs but knowing it existed is bonus enough for me.

The Mann Filter liveries are up there as one of my all time favourites.

Mind numbing... yeah that about sums it up. I honestly can't remember how much time it took, but I'm pretty sure my wife was tired of hearing me complain about hand prints by the time I finished it.
 
#21, because I can’t even imagine what it took to create the vectors for that (under 15kb). And it is terrific looking.

#12, honestly my favorite in the bunch.

I had to pick 2 out of 4. #12 was a lock. And I gave the second vote to #24 because #21 was already mentioned a lot (and I'm jealous I couldn't finished my Mamba :lol:). #20 was the last of my "final 4". Great work everyone! So hard to vote once again..
 
#3 and #22 for me. Always been a sucker for a Kremer livery and the Hella Pagid livery just looks menacing on that Lambo! 👍👍
