LOCATIONS: Rome Only
PHOTOTRAVEL: No
UNIQUE RESTRICTIONS: Cars must be 1960's models only from any country of origin.

You guys nailed the classic cars, but I think you guys didnt hit the 2nd part of the explanation. "a trip around the Italian capital", would probably show some of the sites of Rome, like the italian architecture or the Roman Coliseum. Thats what I thought anyways

First of all I want to thank everyone who entered and it was difficult to leave any of the shots I received out but I guess that was what I was there for. I did like the fact there was a lot of love for 'sepia' filter in this contest which I think tends to get over looked IMO. Sadly I had to reject a couple of entries because the PMC rules were infringed but I did inform the entrants to explain why.

I liked everything about your shot ie: choice of car, location on track, composition etc except just the one thing that went against it was I felt it was too dark. I had to put in comparison with the others and it was just a pity the EV wasn't a notch or two higher.

Yours was a very close call to the other shots despite the same car as others and I did explain I would not dismiss a photo for that reason so I looked at the final 11/12 and went on the immediate first look impression you get from seeing a shot, akin to a gut reaction... not very scientific I know but I just couldn't separate them on a technical value.

I actually didnt receive your entry I'm afraid... I checked my inbox (twice) and its not there, you may possibly have sent it to Fezz_ST. Could you let me know if you can verify sending it to me because its a bit 👎 if you weren't considered because of a technical fault on here.

I hope that goes some way to explaining the final choices and I have enjoyed and struggled with equal measure being judge for a week.

Best of luck to everyome who made it, there are also a couple of first time competitors in the poll so I would like to take the opportunity to welcome them along to the forum as well.

It's always tough to select pics I want to enter in a competition. In hindsight I think I should have selected the other one I had since that had more of the track's architectural landmarks (not the Colosseum ).

You called it. I facepalmed it. I sent Fezz that lovely pic. Oh well, I still think it's pretty. Thanks for the response. I do think a lot of guys went wtih quite a racey theme for a holiday though.

I spent a couple of weeks in Rome last year and take it from me thats pretty accurate to how the standard traffic flows in that city .
