Electronic Arts, who are responsible for producing Need for Speed for 20 years, has had owned something that's not only upsetting the motoring community around the world, but also the fans as well, the "exclusive" licensing rights to Porsche.

I will not go any further, but if you would like to hear more about what I really feel about Electronic Arts' worthless tactics to prevent Porsche relocating to a new family, I've set up a petition, where you can express your theories & ideas on how we can bring the Porsche brand back to it's roots, where it really belongs.

I am always more than happy to hear you possible theories as to why EA has had "exclusive" control of Porsche for almost 2 decades, your theories may hold the key to solving EA's "true & dirty" tactics that they've been trying to keep "secret," & now that they won't be releasing a new Need for Speed games this year (2014), now's the time & place for all of us to get together & help defend Porsche, before they release their next NFS series in 2015.

We cannot guarantee everyone any promises, but whatever Porsche's current status is with EA, we must all focus on the positive, even if EA keeps "slamming the doors" on our faces, we'll keep going until EA will eventually be eating soggy loaves of bread, Porsche will one day debut on all other racing genres from: Gran Turismo, Forza Motorsport, DriveClub, Grid & other racing related games.

Here the link to help where can you find the petition: https://www.change.org/en-AU/petitions/electronic-arts-liquidate-your-exclusive-licence-with-porsche

If you're on FaceBook, Twitter, Tumblr or any other social media, don't forget to also mention the hashtag #DropThePorscheDeal to help pass on the plea even further, your support can help make a difference.

Take care, God Bless & obey the respective law as of the road - MTView attachment 170156

Oh, that's easy. Because they paid Porsche for the rights. End of discussion. If you don't like it then place a higher bid.

I reckon this should be in Console and PC Gaming board, as far as I know you can move it there yourself 👍
^This. Very much this.

Want to drive a Porsche in a game? Play NFS Shift, Shift 2 or all of the other NFS titles, problem solved. It's not like other games outside NFS would do a much better job of representing the brand, specially GT, their attempt would probably be laughable like the Top Gear license, or their Ferrari license.

Plus I've never heard any supposed insider accounts that didn't imply that Porsche was absolutely delighted with the arrangement.

@William Otto I guess you've failed to realise that Porsche are the ones that continue to sign the contract with EA. They're just as bad as EA, if not worse than them. A petition is going to do diddly-squat, especially if the petition's aimed at EA.

I really appreciate what you had to say, I'm not upset with you, it's 50/50, they're both to blame for this, or maybe not?
100% Porsche fault.
It's not like they didn't know who they were dealing with.
It's their fault giving exclive license to them.
It's their fault when they asked Enduracers group to cancel a release of Porsche Cup freeware mod for rFactor.

The debacle of EA getting a cut of the Forza 4 Porsche expansion seems to have deterred Microsoft from stumping up the expense again and that's a shame. The Porsche brand is going to be much better represented in that series than anything in the Need For Speed line these days.

I only hope EA have plans for a new Porsche Unleashed some day.
