I know, I know. We can't have Porsche cars. But one day, the hellish pact between EA and Porsche will have to espire. And what better car to celebrate, than a 914 that actually looks cool?

The Porsche Tapiro was designed in 1970 by Giorgetto Giugiaro of ItalDesign. It was Giugiaro’s 4th prototype at Ital and one of his favourite at the time. It was based on the Porsche 914/6 platform, but with the 2.4L engine fitted on the 911S (which was likely tuned). It had gullwing doors and look at it, it's shaped like a wedge! It's the poster child of a decade of cars designed to murderkill aerodynamic resistance. And with the love Polyphony has for Italian designers and vintage concept cars, it'd fit right in.

Unfortunately the original prototype was burnt to a crisp in a fire in the 80s: but there is plenty of photographic material, and probably they still have the sketches and technical drawings at Ital.
