Porsche vs Electronic Arts, who is to blame?

Electronic Arts, who are responsible for producing Need for Speed for 20 years, has owned something that people wanted to experience in other racing related genres, Porsche. Now from listening to everyone's theories, both parties have played a huge part in this "exclusive" scandal.

We all believed that EA was more at fault than Porsche, but if you go back 15 years, their Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed game can give you some clues. I am suspecting that when Porsche debuted on Need for Speed for the first time, EA immediately accepted the licence, but I think back then Porsche wanted EA to have full control & no one else.

Today, I find it funny that other developers wanted a taste of Porsche but kept declining them even if they have a good relationship with them. I believe Porsche could've done the right thing & reclaimed the "exclusive" licence from EA to prevent any further conflicts. If Ferrari was able to do it, then so can Porsche, which is why I have more respect for Ferrari more than Porsche, even in general Ferrari's are more expensive to own than Porsche.

It's the right time for Porsche to end this "exclusive" nonsense with EA, it's getting old & it doesn't matter how much money EA tries to make off Porsche, they'll still keep losing assets & their respect. Porsche is a great brand to learn about, but do you think they'll be great assets to other racing game genres in the future, full-time?

I can't guarantee everyone any promises, but one day, someone will be eating soggy bread. Porsche will one day debut on all other racing genres from: Gran Turismo, Forza Motorsport, DriveClub, Grid & other racing related games, for now, let's just enjoy whatever cars these developers have provided for us.

If you're on FaceBook, Twitter, Tumblr or any other social media, don't forget to also mention the hashtag #DropThePorscheDeal to help pass on the plea even further, your support can help make a difference.

Obviously Porsche doesn't really care about video games as a form of advertisement or they wouldn't do this. They just want the quick cash from EA.

EA can let others use Porsche and if they've had the license for 20 years then they have in the past because there are other racing games with Porsche in them besides EA games.

Plus EA is just a terrible money hungry company that puts out mediocre after mediocre product and try's to monopolize any part of video games that they can.

So in the end it looks like Porsche doesn't really care about games and EA is EA doing what they always do.

You will get nowhere trying to get EA to listen. Your best bet would be to try and get Porsche to change their stance on it. If enough people really care they need to let Porsche know.

As much as I don't like the license they are holding, if that's what Porsche went for then there isn't really anything for us to do...
I have the feeling that I want to drive a Porsche, but I end up driving something else that I actually enjoy driving in
