Port question

I can't do any FTP at work, nor can I access my webserver's control panel. It would be very cool if I could because I have a lot free time at work that is going to waste right now. Does anyone know how I can change this?

Another thing I can't do is retrieve mail using Outlook Express unless it's Hotmail. Other people on this same network can do FTP and use Outlook just fine so I suspect I can, too.

We use NT 4.0 here. Please help.

FTP data goes on port 21. SMTP traffic goes on 25. However, it sounds like the others on your network have different rights on the firewall.

It ended up being easier than all that. I didn't have the MS Proxy Server Client software installed. I did that and everything workd now. Woo Hoo! It's such a big deal because I have more time learn and test and work on my website at work than I do at home.
