Hi,

There is a small report about the GT Portable and a very small interview to Kazunori Yamauchi about this game, nothing new... BUT somewhere on the interview the OPM asked: "Can we count with a connection between the GT and the future GT5 in the beginning of 2010?"
And Kazunori answered: "First: the GT5 release date is not fixed yet (LOL). But, your intention is to sharing the garage between two game..."

So... he didn't agree with the 2010 release date, he gave us some hope that could be earlier!

Regards,
masas

Yes you are right... but he could simply ignore... and he didn't, he refute that fact (the jornalist told like a fact)... and we have to belive!

I didin't see the magazine Masas, but from your translation it looks clear to me that Kaz simply didn't want to say anything.

How could he reply to such a question? If he just replied "yes, our intention is to allow sharing cars between the garages of both games" ... BANG ... you would have GT5 "confirmed" for the beggining of 2010.

So, his answer is the obvious one. "There's no date yet"

Therefore ... there's no news.

I really think that PD and SCE really have no idea when to release GT5. They probably all sat together at a meeting and were like "Yeah GT5 is the biggest game the PS3 will ever play. We better choose a good release date. But when..." They are probably still having meetings on the same topic.

Or he means a 2010 release is not sure... maybe a 2011 release...??? If Forza3 blows everything away then i´m sure we get GT5 in 2011... The only reason why they don´t release GT5 is because they want to see what FM3 can do... To release GT5 now and get kicked from FM3 would blame PD... But stop your fanboy GT5 comments now... Nobody knows how good GT5 or FM3 is so it´s all possible...

I don't think it would be 2011... Kaz said they're ready to release the game anytime they want - or so I've heard - so it's unlikely.

I really, really hope it's, like, Jan 2010. I'm getting a PS3 for christmas... if GT5 is, say, November 2009, that'd kill me. Maybe I could bug the parents to let me have it early :P

I wouldn't bug too much. I got one last year, and I bugged and bugged and bugged. I didn't know for sure that I would get one but I had a very strong hunch. I actually bugged so much that they almost took it back, seriously.

There is no more "OPM" it is now "PTOM", Playstation The Official Magazine. It was once known as PSM. Remember that magazine? It played second fiddle to "OPM". PSM got a new name and has been given the privledge of being the offcial magazine for Playstation.

So, please, stop saying OPM by default, there is no more Official Playstation Magazine.

Please change the title to reflect, "PTOM".

Yeah... I kinda asked, and the 🤬 said no. So I get it at christmas.

So here's hoping for a 2010 release!👍

They know what they're talking about. Waiting for a date from PD themselves. :)

P.S. What's the blue car in the middle of the pic? I could make out all of them except for that one.

its the same that my neighbor have in his garage :sly:

Actually, PD has nothing to do with release dates, its the publisher who makes their mind on that, and in this case as PD is a first party of sony, they are the ones who decide how much resources and money go into the game.
Im sure sony at this point is lining everything up for 2010 as in GOW 3 and all the other big tittles including GT5.
Like I said before, when in PD's case, when Sony says times up, time for a release day, thats what goes ,until the day PD become a 2nd or 3rd party developer.

Not sure Dazzi.. but Yamauchi is up pretty high in the sony ranks and calls a lot of shots there when it comes to PD, being the CEO there.

To be Honest, The thing of trading cars between GT5 and GT: Portable, Isnt good news because of some thoughts i had:

-First of All, if theres None Porsche/Lambo in GT:Portable (Not Sure), why are they going to be in GT5, but you just cant trade em with GT:Portable

-Customization, If theres a possible Livery Editor/Body Customization, How is that going to Reflect in GT:P, since theres no customization in that game, Only Quick Tune.

They could well be in GT Portable too although I don't believe we will find anything out until the big TGS reveal now.
