Possible fix to Bonus Money Glitch

I've been one of the unlucky ones that wasn't receiving the bonus money when leveling up. I tried deleting the game save, reloading the entire game, exchanging my disk, all with the same result...no bonus money.

I may have found a way to prevent it. During my last two level ups, I didn't exit immediately out of the race after the level up notification. I ran the race one more time. Then, when I backed out, I received my bonus money. This is a small sample size, but it's worked so far.

If others are still having this problem, you may try that.

What level are you? I think I'm about level 7 or 8 (this time around), and it had been happening to me on most (if not all) level ups.

I heard it typically happens after 17 (but sometimes before, as you and a few others have said), and I just hit 17, and I got my bonus cash. So, I'll try it when I hit 18.

I guess the only way to test it would be to save externally prior to leveling up, then level up both ways to see if there is a difference. Otherwise, you can't go back if you don't get your bonus.

But, I intend to just run the race again every time now to be sure, since that's worked for me so far. I hope it continues to work. It's nice having more cash to work with!

I didn't get my bonuses from 15 on. But at 19 I did try to change my settings, visual damage, etc. And then set them back. I heard someone tried that and it worked.

I did get the payout for level 20, but I have no idea if it was a result of that, or if the glitch is just random.

My problems started around level 7 or 8, EA did give me a $20.00 discount credit after I emailed them

That was nice. How much is the DLC pack with all the cars? If it pays for that, then that makes up for the loss of in-game cash bonuses.

A 360 user called RandomTask No2 came up with this and it works cause i tried it . Thanks RandomTask No2 , You rock! Heres what he wrote ...

"Just go to your memory on your systems settings and delete the Limited edition Marketplace content for Shift 2 (NOT your precious game save)

(Aslong as you saved atleast once after entering your code you will keep the content on your game)

You should now get your level bonus each time.

EA and Slighly Mad Should pay me for saving them alot of trouble and money by fixing this for them !"

I never received my LE content, because I didn't know about it until after I'd started playing the game. Can I still go back and get that? How?

Also, my "fix" did not work when I leveled up to 13, but I received my bonus cash at level 14. So it just seems to be random. I've probably received less than 50% of my bonus cash on THIS, my 3rd restart.

I'll try this fix suggestion, to see if I get the rest of my bonuses.

I did not notice any lack of money... Anyway, I always race a track twice (1st for learning the track, 2nd to race)

I also spend money buy either buying cars or upgrade them so I never received a bonus that makes my "bank account" go over a million. Maybe that's just a coincidence.
