Hey, i buyed a t500rs about 20 days ago, and only in these days noticed something that can be a issue, but i'm not sure . I noticed that the steering column in decentrated, at the left side there's much space, and at the left just a little. Not sure if is a problem?

Do you think it is a problem?

My T500 is pretty much dead center but my T300 is like yours and offcenter. Nothing is rubbing, and there have been no problems despite many hours of use over more than 2 years with the T300.

So basically if nothing is rubbing, I'd not worry about it. Just get on and enjoy your wheel.

I've actually just noticed I have this problem too. It's as if the spline which drives the wheel has not been mounted straight inside the body of the housing.

There is definitely not an even gap all the way round the QR collar. Mine rubs to the point where it's created a lot of grey plastic dust. It doesn't rub all the way round; just when a certain part of the QR collar reaches a certain part of the plastic surround (~80 degrees of left lock seems to be where it catches). I can hear it rub as it calibrates and also feel a slight bit of extra resistance at that point in the wheels rotation. And it's scored a groove in the QR. Bought new Jan '17 from Amazon. I should complain right?

First pic is when it rubs. Second pic is the same area with the wheel rotated 180 degrees different so that a gap appears. The point it rubs is approx. 4 'O'clock on the surround.

My is close but fortunately doesn't rub, but i tried to change my wheel for other reasons, and they sent me one which rub so much the calibration when wheel rotate to the right can't reach the end, i immediately sent it back.

The exterior cosmetics (plastics) have no effect on the performance of the wheel. I can see, if there is a 'rub', it would be annoying...but not a limiting factor in the over-all performance of the wheel.
