A Plymouth Horizon?!?! Awesome! Didn't know there were some still around, and in Canada, wow! I remember my parents buying one brand new in 1984. Still remember picking it up at the dealership when I was 4 years old. šŸ‘

You bet. :) It's a first model year too (1978) So it's got the 1.7 L VW Engine. Ain't many left yeah, which is quite lame since it needs a new wiper switch (I think) and a drivers side C-pillar window. :ouch:

The local junk yard once had a whole section for the Dodge/Plymouth K, Daytona/Laser and Omni/Horizon cars, but I noticed they were all sent for scrap a few years ago. Shame, since it was like walking down memory lane walking through them and looking inside all of them.

Haha, I bet eh? I'm not old enough to remember when these cars where still being made, sadly.

There was a Horizon at our local Pick-n-Pull, but I went back a few weeks later for parts only to find it had disappeared. šŸ‘Ž:grumpy: It's been 4 months? Since then & not a single Omni/Horizon has come in. :(

The sad part is, another one probably won't be coming along any time either. You might be stuck with ordering all your parts from junk yards the states.

Not entirely the best picture, but here's the latest addition to the garage:

Nissan Pathfinder Ti 550.

Cool! I always wanted a car transport vehicle, and I think Sterlings rock.

Sorry, been working at a few Truck dealers lately, so it sort of got to me! I heard you have a lot of cars, so it sort of made sense...

the FA1L license plate was transferred from my "failboat" when we traded it in

failboat, lol. When I was in college I ended up with a similar failboat, a 1990 Merc. I actually called it a boat, it being white with a blue canvas top and all. I always joked about getting some life preservers to mount on the sides. Not exactly a car a college kid wants to be driving, but it hauled all my stuff back and forth each year and towed a dual-axle UHaul trailer like a champ.

The top was a special "50th Anniversary edition" canvas cover. Funny thing though, Merc's 50th was 1989 so the top must have been a left over they slapped on my 1990 car. Whatever the case, it was hideous and over powering. Far worse than the vinyl half-tops that were more popular.

HAHA yes, I hang out on the GRM forums a lot. I think I am following your Mazda2 thread there......or someones 2 thread that we are both following, seeing what I might be able to apply to my Accent.

Another guy started the thread, but it's kinda turned into a general Mazda2 thread, cause this car is getting really popular there. There have been a few other guys who've bought them since I got mine a month ago, including one who traded a last-gen Civic Si for it just like I did.

I can just imagine the new car smell. šŸ‘ Nice car, planning on any mods?

Thanks, I'm loving the new car smell. šŸ‘

No mod plans, it'll be a daily driver at least for now.

After it is paid off maybe I'll get a project car to mess with.

Here is my 1983 Ford Capri 2.0S, had it since I was 17 (now 20) I've left the car completely stock except for cosmetic modifications. Next one shall be a 2.8i no question, another great car that is missing from Gran Turismo.

Loving the Minilite style alloys with those tyres. Really gives it a muscle car look. :)šŸ‘

Thanks :) šŸ‘

That was the style I was aiming for. Always loved muscle cars so I thought the Capri could look good like that, it was pretty much the first thing I did to it. I've now put the Carla 2.8i interior in with retrimmed Recaro bucket seats in.

I posted a while ago this very car in production in the factory, it was picked up a month ago now, but I've forgotten to put a picture of it on here :)

Now it just needs a V8. ;)

Always liked the 3.0 Essex myself though, great sound.

They always deserved a V8 ;)

I'd love a 3.0S myself. A silver one came up on fleabay a while ago. It was stunning!

But with our lovely petrol prices, a 2.8 seems a better idea at the moment.

I've always loved that body style Capri. Shame we didn't get it. We got the first gen Capri, but the Capri after that was just a Ford Mustang with a Mercury badge on the front.

Speaking of Mustang. I'm curious as to how you got hold of an SVT Cobra Mustang in Yorkshire.

I do see a lot of people on the Capri Power forum owning the first generation Mercury Capris. If I'm honest its a shame we didn't get a V8 with our Capris. This photo was taken around 2 years ago now, we had only just bought the Cobra back then. We managed to find it after missing out on it before.

A guy on the Mustang Owners Club of GB had posted saying he was selling it as a baby was on the way, we were the first to go and see it, then ended up buying it.

The '03/4 Cobras are very rare over here, I only know of about 20 or so in the country. We had to sell ours in the summer of last year, we replaced it with a '01 SVT Lightning to use for our horses. I miss the Cobra a lot!
