Alright, it's time.

Here's the shmeal, we'll use Sandra 2004 arithmetic benchmark to test your CPU.

If you're overclocking, please post your stock speed and current. If you're not, just post your stock speed.

Post a screenie of the test.

I'll start:
Athlon XP 1600+ TB(1.38GHz) @ 1606.5MHz

edit for got my cpu stats

P4 2.0GHz Runs At 1993.5MHz With A 99.3MHz FSB

Athlon XP 2000+ 1.67GHz 256L2 (OC at 1.80GHz)

I ran against the AMD CPUs closest to my overclocked CPU and the Intel equivalent.

They make 1900+s? Didn't know that.

Well, dandy. This means my el cheapo 1600+ is just as fast as a 1900+.

OCing rocks.

👍 cool man. What method did you use to OC yours? I might consider pumping this one up near the end of it's lifecycle.

WTF is this all about ?

From what I can tell is a way to test how fast your pc is ? Does it highlight any problems you have ? Only reason I replied is cos my system is really really slow and I wanted to see if this will help in anyway !

hey James...you have to download the Sandra System identifier...it gives you a massive amount of information about the hardware and software installed on your system...but its not really used to fix problems..

WFT is up with my benchmark????

Woah. Yours are ****ed up! What kind of proccessor you have?

I have the highest numbers so far benchmark wise. :D

Pentium 4 at 2.4 GHz 533 MHz FSB. :)

What a beast!

I just raised the FSB from 133 to 153. It's stable as a rock, and only runs about 50C full load. This also means my bus speed is 306:D. Deffinatly worth it.

Wrong test dude. Run the arithmetic benchmark, not the multimedia one.

Aye.

I sure wish my mobo would allow me to change my multipliers. Odd, they tested my board against the A7Nwhatever and mine did better, even though you can only raise the FSB. As a matter of fact, my board doesn't even let me change my voltages and it still did better.

doesn't he have a 3ghz p4? All we're looking at here for benchmarks is a comparison of operations per second that the particular processor is actually capable of. His system, unless oc'ed, will provide more or less whatever's listed in the thing here.

I might end some processes, streamline background programs, and bump it up to 3.4ghz just to see.... ;)

XP2500+ 1.83 @ 2.31Ghz (210 x 11) I just happened to get a cpu with a locked multiplier :grumpy:

Here it is OC to 3.4GHZ (didn't have time to optimize, but I did shut some programs down):

Some mad tyte overclockin there.

This is with the fsb at 172mhz, any further and the cpu wont make it through the benchmark. I should give it a try with my other heatsink/fan, but i'd have to move some bit's about in my case.

that was my office PC....its actually Via333Mhz but is mis-reported in bios as a 100Mz....hence the bad performance...

still a slow computer but this is what they gave me...

this is my home PC(desktop not laptop)....slightly better...speed is posted below.

Nice benchmarks. 👍

Thanks man! Unfortunately, I can't get it stable at 3.4GHZ. It will play and I can have my fun, but it will intermittently reboot without warning, and the periodic lockup raises it's head. I have since lowered it back to 3.2 where it stays. 200MHZ doesn't make enough difference % wise and performance wise to merit the headaches.
