The Deux Chevaux - "two horses". The car so lame that three lugs per wheel were enough. The seats are canvas slings on a frame like a beach chair, too. Or at any rate, they were in the 50s. For what it's worth, I don't beli8eve the 2CV had the hydraulic suspension of whicj you speak. It was the DS (see below) that had an air suspension, that was adjustable on the fly via a lever down near the driver's footwell. They could be jacked up and down quite a bit, and had the amusing habit of collapsing with a huge sigh of relief when the ignition was turned off and the compressor quit.

Unless you're stupid, you know this is my favourite car. Sorry, neon_duke, if this isn't original enough, but I'd kill for one (or all three - this is a damn cool picture!).
By the way PunkRock - have you forgotten the Yugo? It was every bit as bad as the Samara, and uglier!

. I think that even the rednecks don't bother to use them as "yard ornaments" anymore. ("If you've ever mowed your yard and found a car... You might be a Redneck".)
Let's not forget the GM dealer in Tennessee that would give you a Yugo if you bought a Riviera.
