hey guys,
think you could help me, us, find a list of original power to weight ratio for all the cars?
why?
because,
after i tune a car, i want to race original cars with it, but sence i dont have a clue which ones have same power to weight ratio, a list could be helpful.

how about making one?

Have you looked here? It contains a downloadable Excel list with all the car's power to weight ratios.

A quick look in the stickied "Many FAQs" thread would have saved you from making a thread. :)

If you look at my GT4 Car Database thread, you'll find an Excel file in there with all the cars (at the moment only the non-Japanese ones), with their GT Mode power, weight and power-to-weight ratio, stock.

The only thing is that I use actual power-to-weight ratios - the ratio of units of power to a single unit of weight. GT4 uses weight-to-power ratios - the ratio of units of weight to a single unit of power. If you want the GT4 version, invert my figure and multiply by 1,000:
150hp, 1000kg = 150hp/tonne
150hp, 1000kg = 6.667kg/hp

(1/150hp/tonne)*1000 = 6.667kg/hp
1000/6.667kg/hp = 150 hp/tonne

Whoops, didn't realise there are two different types. I've never understood the kg/hp one anyway...

well thanks guys, sorry for not noticing that..
anyway, that dosnt help just as much as i needed, i actually hoped for a list just like this, but only with a colum that points out the PtW ratio just like it is in GT4. so i can list the cars by their PtW Ratio and find good matches.. unfortunatlly i dont know how to do that in Excel.
if anybody knows how to do that that would be awsem if he'd share it with us.

Highlight the PWR column. Right click, copy.

Highlight the first column. Right click, Insert Copied Cells.

Highlight the whole table. Go to the toolbar and click on the button which has a Z, an A and an arrow pointing downwards. Cars are now ranked by decreasing power-to-weight ratio.

ok thanks worked great, but know what do i have to do inorder to change the PtW Ratio to the same units there are in GT4..
is there a simple way (function) to convert it in the excel?

No, but close the file, wait two minutes and download the new one.

You'll notice that at the top there's a missing letter of the alphabet - it'll go from column F to column H. Highlight both columns, right-click and click "Unhide". Then do the same as before to rank them by this new figure.

ok the new file is great exacly what i wanted, but now i cant get along doing this simple thing (which i did to the other file)..
the copy paste thing..
when i do that it just writes "#REF" next to all the cars..
whats up with that? have any clue?

Ah yes - that's because you're pasting formulae.

After you've inserted the copied cells, go to Edit, Paste Special and select Values.

THANKS ALOT!! MEGA THANKS!
works like charm.. i had fun with it for quite a bit of time now..
the greatest drags i had were Superbee (ithink) (and oldschool american muscle) (i think its a bit tuned) vs Impreza Spec C.. (the Crazy Japanese athlete)..
anyway it was a blast.. thanks alot again..

Omri.
