Power-To-Weight Ratios - All Cars by Class

I decided to take some time to figure this out. I know SMS said they used the Nurburgring to combine cars for classes but looking at the power-to-weight ratios there are some big discrepancies within classes. So without further ado, here's everything. This should help people make close one on one battles between cars. The only things I didn't do were the Radbull Drift, WRX Cars, Karts, Modern Stockcar, or Vintage IndyCar. Just don't care about them, sorry. For the class averages any cars with duplicates like the two Porsche GT3s or the three Bentley's will only be factored in once. I don't want to dilute the data. I also didn't do LMP1 as the simple HP figures don't properly represent the cars.

Nice list. Lotus 98T for the win! Guess I'll have to put driving that on my to do list for tonight. 👍

I just don't know why the BAC Mono and McLaren F1 are where they are. Some things like that seem really odd.

Awesome, thanks. And the Jaguar?

God damn Europeans... is kph the same number as HP? Nevermind I see the HP figure at the end. I'll convert the kg to pounds myself lol

Edit: Original post has those three cars added now. I thought the Opel Astra would be identical figures to the Megane and A45 but whatevs. They're so close and you've said countless times how much fun they all are.

I think I posted the Jag stats, in another thread, as per your request. I'll check when I boot up the game.

Are these based on the stats in the menu or the max power based on the telemetry?

Example
M6 GTLM claims max power of 550hp. On track, it's ~510hp. The power figures in the car selection menu aren't always true.

Jaguar E-Type V12 Group44 1974
- 298 kph, 5.30 Secs, 460 HP, 1,211kg, 4 Speed H-Pattern, no "Features" (ABS, etc)

I got power to weight ratio in my car spreadsheet as well, but the values are different, maybe because I use metric settings.

Sheet can be found here :

(has all the other car stats as well)

Great work as usual!

Can I ask why some rows are highlighted in light blue and some aren't?! What's the criteria?!

PS: By the way I think it was you who did the Assetto corsa car list sheet too! Can you update that one to include the new DLCs?!

Thanks a lot!

Thanks for the positive comments. :)

The highlighted rows are those manufacturers you can earn affinity for in career mode to unlock the special manufacturer events. But since that affinity is so easy to do I might as well just remove it. :)

Yes I have one for Assetto Corsa in Google Sheets as well. :) But I updated it with that last Assetto Corsa patch though and the Ready To Race DLC is already added as well. I can’t add the Ferrari Anniversay DLC yet since it isn’t out yet on consoles (unless I missed that).

My Assetto Corsa sheet can be found here :

(I’ll update my signature tonight and add links to both in it).

I’m working on some tuning sheets per car for Project CARS 2 as well, once I have a few cars done and I’m confident with the template I will make that public too.

Good combinations post that I will keep updated. I try not to use classes from all across time and instead group ones that existed relatively close to each other chronologically.

1) Track Day B - Road C - GT4 - Megane Trophy: A typical modern track day in which rich guys show up with their super cars, lightweight machines, and of course you'll see some actual racers show up with their race cars to get some random practice/testing in. You never know what you might see out there.
-I like driving the Radical SR3-RS and being a giant killer but I don't want the giant too big. It can beat GT3 in the corners but they get back on any long straight so GT4 brings that back a little so it's more of a drag race. The Honda 2+4 works well with the Caterham SP/300.R while the Nissan Skyline SMS-S fits in nicely with the Road C cars. The Sesto Elemento unfortunately doesn't really fit in anywhere. Only option I can think of is maybe replacing Megane Trophy with Road B but it's ok.
2) Classics Festival - Work in Progress. Check back later.

There are too many options to make a single "classics" anything, so I tend to go by decades.

"1980s/90s Classic" - Group C is your prototype of course, but you can also add in GTO as high end GT class and Group A as a lower tier GT class.

"1970s Classic" - Group 6 is the prototype with Group 5 and Group 4.

"1960s Classic" - Vintage Prototypes, Vintage Touring GT-A and GT-B.

With the new DLC I decided to simply copy/paste the original post and have the full list with everything included in one post. Below that is the list of all averages sorted from lowest to highest. This is to see which classes stack up to the one you're using for the closest multi-class racing. Enjoy!

I'm looking into what classes are most common online so I can make a track day session (just a long hour or so qualifying with 10 minute sprint races to keep everyone together and see how plays out.

So far I'm sure I'm going to include GT3 as it's the only thing anyone uses online. I'm also using Track Day B because the Radical is great fun and the class has some fast options for those that wanna compete with the GT3 cars. The Sesto Elemento and Skyline SMS-R have better power-to-weight ratios but in real numbers the Skyline has the power to muscle the straights but is much heavier while the Lambo is much lighter but doesn't have much more power and the AWD slows you down in corners. I also figure some people might want an open-wheel option to battle with the giants so I picked Formula C. Ratio is slightly above GT3 so in the turns it will be equal. Next thing up was the Renault 3.5 and I think that's too powerful to keep in range with the GT3 cars. This leaves me with no idea what last class to use. It should be relatively close to the Lambo and Nissan. Any ideas?
