I don't get it. What is the 4-Car Pack? Are they honestly making that DLC for GT6? Stuff that we know is already 100% done.

From what I can make out it's an "extra" 20 cars, ie those cars with a special livery. The base cars will be in the game, the versions with a livery will be pre-order DLC.

But two of them are GT3 cars? As in, completely different cars (that require a different license from the manufacturer) compared to the base models. This is rather poorly explained on the site. :nervous:

Reads to me basically like the GT6 version of Stealth and Chromeline cars we had in GT5. All preorders get 4 free special cars, Gamestop gives another 16 on top of the 4, Amazon gives you 1mil credits and the Annviersary Edition comes with all that plus some other fluff too.

As with GT5 all the preorder / chromeline cars were pretty much in the game already, though the chromelines I think came slightly pretuned over the base dealership versions (they already a round of cheap sports upgrades as "stock"?) and the McLaren F1 Stealth seemed a bit like a race modded F1 though I never compared it to an equally upgraded regular one. And the stealth GT500s and LMP cars had normal livery equivalents.

It's only an assumption at this point but I think all the preorder cars are basically just "early access" versions, like in GT5 when you download a new DLC pack / car you get a free in-game ticket to cash in.

It will likely be no different from the way GT5 preorders were handled; except instead of dividing all of the "special" cars up among multiple retailers Gamestop gets all of them.

Gotta say that it sounds pretty bad for the people hoping for the world from GT6's customization, though.

The F1 Stealth had front downforce, which you couldn't get on the road one.

I certainly hope that is true. I'll go ape-🤬 if regular cars are offered as DLC on release. Slightly enhanced models like Chromelines and such is completely fine.

2013 Ford Focus ST... 2013 Shelby GT500... 2013 SRT Viper GTS

Yes, and thank you very much.

15th Anniversary Edition

Pre-Ordering this today.

your own customized paint chips

I have to wonder what improvements are being made on the Paint system.

race suit, helmet

I love this about GT5, glad it's confirmed.

Each of the combined 20 vehicles will have their own unique enhancements, either visually or performance upgrades.

Man, I would sure like some details.

No I mean those cars will be in the game as is, with whatever livery is on them then there will be another version with a special livery. Like the stealth cars in GT5 basically.

"We'll have more information on the 15th Anniversary Edition at a later date. For now, check out the entire line-up of 20 vehicles when you pre-order through GameStop."

So the PS Blog for EU put up their details for the Ann. edition:

http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2013...nniversary-edition-pre-order-extras-detailed/

Special Polyphony designed 15th Anniversary Steelbook (what you see here is not the final pack design)
GT6 game
1M in-game credits
20 cars with special 15th Anniversary custom livery and performance enhancement
Custom paint chips, custom race suit, custom race helmet and custom avatars
Apex II, a brand new updated version of the Apex game guide

Since Amazon US is getting the 1M credits, what's left to determine for US Ann edition? Packaging? Anyone think there will be Collector's/Signature/Special Edition?

They might have a special livery, wasn't there a special NASCAR for GT5, for instance? And the Mazda 787 had a stealth version. Might be the same for these. Looking forward to some more info on this.

Great to see the Focus, Scirocco race car and Lotus Europa! 👍

Indeed. "Each of the combined 20 vehicles will have their own unique enhancements, either visually or performance upgrades" doesn't bode well for a livery editor.

Also, paint chips? Ha.

We'll see in due time. Really hope this is the case. Just the way it's mentioned on the site, and how it appeared on the Amazon site that had me worried.

The new cars revealed are certainly interesting and respond to what the community has been asking for, thumbs up for PD in that aspect 👍.

However the press release is very unclear on how exactly this versions will differ from the basic one. Are this cars exclusive to this versions but DLC for the basic one? Or is it just that they are cars unlocked from day 1? How can the livery or performance specs vary on GT3 cars? Is "Beyond the Apex II" an app or a book?

It also raises questions about how the paint chip system will be handled this time (I partially liked the original system but, as Imari said, one-use chips is a really dumb idea) and about the actual quantity of new cars. As for me, I won't preorder anything until I know more about the differences between versions so I can find the one I like the most. Here's hoping we get something similar, or maybe even bigger, than GT5s Collector/Signature editions (GIMMEDAKYOSHOS!!!!!!!)

Just pre-ordered from Gamestop via the link on the news page :)

Someone mentioned the Nascar. GT5 basic pre-order from Gamestop came with the Gamestop Nascar and the Stealth McLaren

To clarify, all cars listed above exist within the game, and you would have to unlock them individually. The cars and items within the 15th Anniversary Edition are intended for those that want a unique GT experience with custom livery and performance upgrades added to their collection of cars

It would be very helpful if Jordan added this to the post in the News page 👍

Glad you were a fan of the stealth PO from GT5. We will have detailed visuals of the custom livery within the pre-order line-up of cars very soon

Same. 👍

It kind of sounds like to me we can make our own paint chips? Maybe add a metallic layer on top of any color we want, and/or multiple color gradients, etc.?

Agreed.

Oh, I don't know...

GT.com
Multiple aerodynamic parts and custom wheels will be available for almost all cars.

GT.com
Players can create their own personalized custom car in the game.

GTPlanet
Is there going to be more car customization options? Are you going to be able to swap the engine or put decals on the car?

Both are technically possible, and we might be preparing it (laughs).

GTPlanet
and every car can have parts fitted for it.

I almost say the complete opposite.:)
