so to my understanding this means the majority of cars will not have a cockpit view, im disappointed with this, either all cars get the full detail or all get normal details, this to me means they're rushing it

It doesn't necessary mean that not all cars will have cockpit, no-one knows for sure what it means, but its very likely that all cars will have cockpit, because GT mobile has cockpit view, and that's got over 800 cars.

Nobody really knows...
I hope they do have a cockpit view. Otherwise it sucks
Maybe Premium is only referring to damage, opening doors, opening hood, etc...

Although some information was posted on the official GT website a few days ago, it was quickly removed. There are already on-going discussions about why this happened and what the original information meant, but neither thing is absolutely clear. Perhaps for this reason alone, the information was withdrawn because it was too ambiguous or perhaps even misrepresentative of how the game will be upon release...

From the evidence we've seen so far, I think it is fair to say the following -

  • GT5 has damage, but it may only apply to a subset of cars/car-types, atleast to begin with
  • Some cars will definitely have cockpit view/interiors from release - but there is a possibility that some may not, atleast to begin with
  • All the visual evidence gathered thus far only pertains to demos and may not be (and probably isn't) an accurate reflection of the final version
Until more information is made available, we cannot be any clearer than this for the time being.
