Has anyone figured out the prizes for remote races?

Is it better to run a 20 minute race, or a 5 minute one?

Thanks,
Skymeat

I think it's something like $35K for a 20 minute race and 20K for a 5 minute race. The jury is still out on how the prize money is given to competitors. We know it isn't a simple 1st, 2nd, 3rd system. Some people think that it's about how many places your driver gains or loses.

I did four 20 minute races against someone and only walked away with 32,000. Pretty weak if you ask me.

with 16 players that would be allot more.
when hosting my driver came in 15th and he earned me 9.800.
and when coming 4th in a race with 16 players he won 24.490.

Other people using my drivers left me with about 300.000cr. with 6 drivers overnight.

I did absolutely nothing for it!!

I think there are many contributing factors to payout. My best guess is an accumulation of cash for finishing position, overtakes & fastest lap bonus.

5 minute races pays more than 20 minute (considering Cr. per minute, obviously).

Also, the more drivers you have in a race, the more it pays.
(I'm not sure about this anymore...)

I have no idea about XP though.

EDIT:

Scratch all that.
I'm not quite sure about anything anymore. :dopey:

Someone posted the payout for a 16-driver field for all 3 race lengths, but for the life of me, I can't seem to find it now (if someone could send me the forum link, I would appreciate it). Assuming they're all consistent, I'm fairly certain the 20-lap races have the highest payout per minute. Remember to take into account the time in between races to host, add drivers, then load the track for shorter races (for example, you'd have to add the time setting up a new race by 4 if you're comparing a 5-minute races to a 20-minute race).

edit: after further consideration, all the races may even out in a very general sense in terms of payout once you factor in loading times. There will obviously be slight differences, but I don't think it's anything dramatic.

I also found the post I was looking for, and based on those numbers (and my earlier ones) the average payout for a 16-driver, 20 min.race is 10,695 CR; a 7-driver field is 7,950 CR. So the bigger the field, the better. In a 7-driver field, the top prize is the same as 6th place in a 16-driver field, and sequentially works its way down from there.
