I know that usually gift tickets are awarded. But is it against any rules to award a PSN card (or the code from a card) to a contest winner?

I am thinking of starting a tuning contest that is a bit odd, and would like to drum up a good response.

If it is OK, which countries use the same PSN card system as the USA?

I think it is illegal. I'm fairly sure it is.

But he's not selling it, he's giving it away as a prize. So it should be okay. I mean, you're allowed to give them to someone as a gift, right?

I wasn't suggesting that he was selling. But he could use the psn code for himself and send the code through a message to the person that won it.

No shenanigans.

I was thinking two $20 card prizes (2 different classes). Each winner could have the physical card by mail or the code right away (their choice).

I'm pretty sure this would only be open to USA residents.

If he uses it for himself, wont it be expired for the person who wins it? Surely he doesn't want to get a bad reputation for something like this, after hosting what would be a fun event.

Why not offer GTPlanet premium subscriptions to the winners. That way it would be open to everyone regardless of where they're from in the world. Plus it would help support this great community and help keep it going.:gtpflag:

Super dumb question: how much is a Premium account? And how hard would it be to get one for me and one for someone else? (Maybe I will offer choice of premium account or PSN card.)

Contest would not be for a few weeks yet, but I will tell you that what I have in mind is easy and odd enough that a non-experienced tuner might get lucky and win.

I believe it is $12 for one year and $25 for lifetime. Click on the premium only forum links and it will direct you to the information on getting premium memberships.👍👍
