I am having a problem when it comes to scrolling web pages. I start scrolling with my scroll wheel, but when it scrolls, it is very choppy. This is puzziling to me. Viper_Zero has been trying to help me but nothing seems to work. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening? Also, my mouse is a Logitech two button optical with a scroll wheel.

Thanks

Charles

does this happen with just the scroll wheel or does it do the "choppy" movement when you scroll with the scroll bars at the side? If so then your video card mught be total crap.

IE: Tools->Advanced->Browsing->Use Smooth Scrooling
I've already done that.

It does it on both. I don't have a video card though. Only onboard video memory. 32MB of it.

Well when my dad was working on some computers for our school (he's the computer teacher there) he had the exact same problem on one of the computers and all he did was replace the memory card with a better one and it worked fine. That's all i know, sorry.

This has happened to me on Internet Explorer srolling is choppy with anything with loads of tables and rows - eg. a Forum.

So I got Opera instead and it is smooth or just reformat your computer it solves all problems.

It seems to be working a little better with Opera. Thanks ALPHA! Also, is there an option for tabbed browsing in Opera?

Yeap, what version did you get? - Version 7 rules and it pays to get rid of all those ugly favourite things and the personal bar.

Although its web standards suck and it pisses around with GTPlanet's layout its alright but I'd like to see what Firebird - The browser Shannon loves is like.

You can download skins, I've got a cool XP Skin and flash needs to be installed so you have to get Netscape/AOL shockwave and flash.

Once you get sick of Opera like I am I recommend you reformat your computer it solves so many problems.

Mozilla Firebird = Awesomeness

I use it all the time.

The problem seems to be back. Even with Opera. :irked: I'll try that Firebird (downloading right now). If that doesn't work, I'll try a link that Viper_Zero gave me.

Backup. Format.

Firebird pisses on Opera. It may not be as stylish, but it's rendering speeds are in a league of it's own and it doesn't screw around with GTP's layout as much. Oh, and Firebird doesn't have a stupid advertising banner that you have to pay (or obtain a key by other methods) to remove.
