Firstly, I have had to the Fanatec CSR since release in the U.K and the wheel itself is better to use in every way, I slightly dislike the plastic top half of the rim but that isn't the point.

My point is that Fanatec state on their site that the wheel works with both the G25 and G27 pedals via an adapter that needs to be purchased.

I purchased this adapter with the wheel and since the day i got it my G27 pedals were spiking (when I am not using the pedals the acceleration and brake pedals flicker on-screen).

I thought maybe this would disappear over-time or that there was dust or some sort of latency issue. I searched around the wheel pedals pedals in every port but there no dust at all.

I tried using my G27 wheel this time with the pedals, and they work fine no spiking at all, so I disconnect my G27 and plug in my CSR and they are still spiking. I have heard of issues with the G25/G27 pedals that they will spike after a year or two of use, but the problems I have is for example; when braking but before a corner i will let go of the brake pedal, and on the screen it shows that I am braking using 50% of the pedal travel, this bugged me when I got the CSR I was going to make a complaint to Fanatec about this but I have been unwell for the last 5 months and rarely my games consoles. But now I am well again I will be making a video to submit to Fanatec.

If anyone is using G25/G27 pedals with a CSR wheel, please let me if they are working fine, as I may have to fork out a load of cash for some Fanatec pedals :(

Crap...

I've just ordered the same adapter because Fanatec just lets me wait with my CSP-issue.
A mate lets me borrow his G27-pedals so I can finally use my CSR-E.

I hope this issue isn't regular and you're the only one, I also hope e-support doesn't let you wait as long as I'm doing now...

Don't worry, if you have the same problem, send customer service a complaint. I'm gonna have to make a video soon and send it to support.

My pedals works perfectly fine with my G27 I just can't get my head round with they are spiking really bad with the CSR :ouch:

That's the problem...I've already sent mails including vids, invoice and such..
They send me a new loadcell but that's not the problem, it's something else, never heared from them since.

I know (after reading several complaints) I need to have patience with e-support but my patience is running out :ouch:

That's why I've just ordered the adapter so I atleast can drive again after a full month of rehab.
Your message makes me worry al over again.....With my luck, the new ordered adapter will do the same as yours :scared:

Wait, I don't understand, you had problems with your Fanatec pedals? If Fanatec say I need to buy pedals I won't be happy unless I get a bit of discount for me paying for the adapter and such. Fanatec pedals are expensive and from what I've heard some break:scared:-in 2 weeks of use.

Yes, I (pre-)ordered (21Nov) the CSR-Elite with Clubsport pedals.
Out of the box (19dec) the CSP's also have a spiking issue, brake flickering (GT5 ingame) without any input from me.
Mailed it to support and they assured (in less than 3 days) it was a loadcell problem so they sent a new loadcell (arrived 8days later).
After changing the cell the problem was still there, I did everyting I could find here and on the support page like tightening screws but the problem is still there.
Mailed support again (29dec) with some new video's (GT start-up screen, ingame and Fanatec PC-driver) but I'm still awaiting an answer.

A mate has a new set of G27-pedals laying around that I can use so I've just ordered an adapter for them because I really want to try out the CSR-E..!
In the meantime I'll keep waiting to resolve the CSP-issue...I just really need to race again as soon as possible :sly:

Surprised to find this on the CSR.
I thought the internal electronics were different this time around.

My GT2 refuses to bind with the G series pedals. At first they sent out a replacement adapter but alas to no avail.

Seems as though the CSR has a lot more in common with the GT2 than first thought.

Hi, I´m having the same issue, but I´m using g25 pedals, And I have this problem just on PC, on Xbox 360 with any game it works just fine. And by the way, I have 2 adapters, they have sent 2 adapters, don´t know Why. But it´s having the same problem with both.

I know it's been a long time since my last post on this thread, but I only got round to making a video for Fanatec customer service recently.

I made them a video of how my G27 works perfectly, and how the Fanatec wheel with the adapter struggles (with G27 pedals). They kindly sent me a replacement adapter to see if it was faulty (even though I knew this wasn't the case) which arrived today, and what do you know, same problem.

I have sent them another video of me using the new adapter, and I'm currently waiting for a reply.

Will update as soon as possible. :)

Requires a wheel replacement I think mate.

Really? I wouldn't of thought, because every time I have found someone that has G25/G27 pedals, they are having problems.

I think I need Fanatec pedals, and people complain about those breaking in a few weeks. I'll need to try the wheel with some Fanatec pedals first to see if that works.

I don't mind sending the whole lot back, as long I get what I paid for it, I'm fine; all in the condition it came in.

Mine work fine with Fanatec pedals (CSP).
Have trouble binding with G27's though.

Ultimately if you want your G series to work with a fanatec Wheel you'll have to replace it.
If your wheel works with Fanatec pedals but not G25 there's still a fault. Up to you really.

I wonder if they tried during testing the CSR, if the G25/G27 pedals work as well as the Fanatec pedals.

Hmmm, I've used this adapter for both my Turbo S, GT2, and now my CSR Elite. What I noticed with the CSR elite was that I was getting current to the cable that connects to the adapter. My pedals were spiking. As soon as I moved the cable away from the power supply the adapter started working like normal. Give it a try.

What are you saying, to move the pedal input to the left side?

EDIT: Tried it, pedals don't work at all other than the right hand bottom port :(

Hmmm weird. The adapter is a passive device. I'm still leaning toward some sort of short or current interference in this loop.

I have the spiking issues on my gt2.
Feathering the throttle and clutch would show random inputs. After awhile it might kick in and work fine until I powered off.
Other times it would not bind at all.

I wonder how many wheels have this fault but the owners are unaware because they don't use G pedals.

Headphone sockets seem to have issues also on these wheels. Weird.

My CSR-Elite works fine with G25 pedals + adapter...

REALLY?

Every person I have asked who has a CSR/CSR Elite has said there are problems? Are you sure you don't work for FANATEC? jk I'm joking don't take me serious.

FANATEC kindly helped me with my problem and offered me a mint set of Club Sport Pedals, hopefully get them by next week, then I can sell my G27. :D

Hey Honda, Fanatec said to me that the problem is with the wheel, and offered a replacement ( I don´t belive that´s the problem because it works fine at Xbox 360) I really think it´s a Windows driver problem. but any way, I can´t replace my one because I live in Brazil, and i would have to pay taxes to do that, what would cost me more than the product!

did they give you the pedals for free for your troubles?

Nope, I got a large discount for my troubles.

The problems most likely isn't with the wheel. The ClubSport pedals have been working great.

I don't know for sure if it will fix the problem you are having, but I just received word from someone who purchased one of my pedal filters who was using the same setup you are.

Here is the response I received today:

I just wanted to let you know that the pedal filter works great with the G25 pedals. It not only fixed the constant spiking but my clutch pedal works again (before I had to restart the wheel several times to get it working)...
Thank you so much!!!

Sorry for not mentioning this as an option earlier. I wanted to verify that it worked first.

Go here if you'd like to read more about them: www.basherboards.com

Best of luck.

I was experiencing spiking on the brake and accelerator as soon as i started using my G25 pedals on the CSR-E. Brake would also flicker on slightly when pedal wasnt being pressed from time to time. Decided to try the old cleaning method on the pots but also found that on both the accelerator and brake pots, if you got a hold of the connectors on the pots, you could rotate the circuit board part of it inside the pot case. Using all of my technical skills i wedged these up using some rolled up cardboard to essentially hold the pot in the zero position as much as possible. Tried it and and both issues completely resolved. Guess the clean out may have stopped the spiking and wedging the internals of the pot may have stopped the flickering when pedals are not depressed. Worth checking for if your getting spiking issues.
