Processors 1.8AGHz

Intel and AMD give new processor revisions a letter prefix at the end. For example: Celeron A, Thourobread A, Northwood B, etc.

The P4 1.8A GHz is when Intel introduced 512K of L2 cache to the P4. The 2.4G GHz is a typing error. It's supposed to say 2.4B GHz. This is where Intel introduced the new Northwood core to the P4 which had a 533MHz Front Side Bus.
