Professional quality MP3 maker

I need some MP3 software that compresses audio CDs into MP3 format for use in an MP3 player....

it has to be top quality, what is the 'industry standard' ?

cheers

i dunno the *best* ripper, but i currently and sadly use musicmatch jukebox 8.000.000000whatever000084c
i only use it for ripping because it automaticly finds the cd stuff and then i rip at 320kbps and it goes quite fast, so i cant complain about it other than the layout and player sucks

cheers guys but i am sick of shyte freebie downloads....i have just purchased a sleek mp3 suite from amazon it just reads, rips converts and burns at the touch of a button.....just waiting for it to arrive.... :)

thanks for your views...

dBpowerAMP is not shyte. It's possibly the best ripper I've ever ripped with.

Nope. Well, you can download a Shareware Power Pack which makes it rip faster, but there is no need for it really. If you exlcude the optional Power Pack, there are no limitations. Like I said earlier, you can even download extra codecs so you can rip to formats like .ogg, .wma, .ape (lossless format) and heaps more!

Hi Shannon....

i ckecked it out and the installation is only valid for 30 days...after that i think you have to buy the full thing...

mind you, if it is unlimited for 30 days then that will be okay for my purposes...

i downloaded the dBpowerAMPCDWriter. Is that the correct one for converting audio CDs into MP3?

cheers buddy...

The Power Pack is unlimited for 30 days. After those 30 days, you either have to buy it or it won't work anymore (the Powe Pack that is, not dBpowerAMP).

No. That is for burning mp3s to a CD. You want dBpowerAMP Music Converter.

cool...it works really well...thanks shannon...

dBpowerAMP Music Converter is a little slow but the sound quality is stunning and worth the wait...so you say that this product wont expire after 30 days?

cheers
