How long did we wait after 2.0 was live on PC? Should be about the same. I'm asking cuz I don't remember

All of these fixes and still my tuning setup doesnt save. I click on save, overwrite existing file, go back into it, and nothing has changed.

Edit: fixed. Cant use a pre-patch setup.

That sucks this my biggest gripe, at least on the start menu now it shows what setup you have so you can go back and re-save it

According to their website PC and PS4 released on the same day with 2.0, but I've seen some say it was the next day for PS4. And of course XBox was the last to release, because MS.

This was pretty much the only serious issue I had with the game. I guess it didn't qualify with the 150 other things fixed

It must be a PCars thing with MS as when i had an Xbox One as well or 360 MS were always out the gate first with patches and demo's.

Listen complaining is the easy thing to do. Yes i agree, if the virtual world and Real world was perfect cool beans but it is not. However for a few more sec of your time you can do this work around.

(Go into your setup and make relevant changes once happy with the changes, make a new Save, name it as you like, add V1.1 v1.2 Ect.)

It will save the changes every time using this method. once your setup for that car / track is where you want it delete all previous versions.

the reality of it is race teams do many more hours of setup and driver testing than they ever do racing hours.

To be fair on the official forums there has not been a lot said about this. I would give it time to see how it works out.
No offense to the person that reported it but will wait for more info.

I'm just an outside observer but from what I saw it was pretty much the same with AC, always the XBox patch that got delayed (sometimes by many weeks).

Oh happy days!! The patch drops and my Oculus Rift gets delivered a day early!!

Say hi to my robot friend in the caravan! :D

Wait! Seriously, we still have to click 10 times for any changes made to setup? Jesussssss :banghead:

Edit: Apologies are in order it seems that it has been reported as fixed. It was really hard to imagine that it would not be.

This issue has been reported in every gaming and racing forum in the world. You would think out of the 150 bugs they are supposed to fix it would be one of them.

DOWNSHIFT PROTECTION is finally REASONABLE! That alone makes it ten times more enjoyable, Donington with the Formula Cars and especially the Indycar is an absolute blast now!

I think he means whether it's been truly fixed in this patch or not hasn't really been reported. We'll shall wait and see. Though I don't care too much because I've been saving my setups successfully for over two months.

I haven't actually had a chance to check as I am setting up my VR but I read the above as he tried it and it was still broke. My bad otherwise.

Also, yeah the saving work around works, but my point was with the attention this issue got it would have been smart to fix it.

It's cool, and I saw his post but waiting for further input. *edit* misread his post :) so apparently 'save over existing' still doesn't save changes. So either it's a design decision, or it can't work as intended

Well it works for me. Didn’t work before the patch, so I assumed it was fixed before coming to the forums.

Could anyone test telemetry view and see if grip indicators work now?

Tyre smoke when cornering?

Inconsistent tyre pressure unit?

Thanks

I asked this question on the forums and 3 or 4 people chimed in that it is working consistently now, only one had an issue in TT though

I'm a ps4 user and im over the moon the patch has been released, even if we have to wait a couple of days. Give the devs more time to start working on patch 4.0

The way they allowed us to make changes in free practice in pCARS1 and not have to save in order to test said changes out on the track meant a hell of a lot less button presses compared to what we have now. I am also getting tired of having to go through the save screens just to adjust one thing on the car. They could make it a lot more user friendly.

And they've even thrown in an extra button press since launch by adding the 'save complete' screen. Seems unnecessary to me.

I'm never going to name multiple tunes every time I tweak something.

I fully understand the system, it's just a bit cumbersome.

I have been working around by selecting save as and then just overwriting a slot that is already occupied. I name it something like *track name* test. That way you don't have lots of saves and don't have to rename. Once I am happy with the tune I save as *track name* race.

So it must be game design in this simulation project cars 2, clutch input is a option not a requirement in h pattern gearboxes with auto clutch off hmm. why I am the only person that has a problem with this immersion breaking issue.

It's a well-known issue that was a design choice by the devs. Lots of people besides you have a problem with it.
