I'd like to get some input from the pro's. My bro is addicted to the gt40 racecar. I've been trying to tune a tuscan to beat the old boy, but it is proving quite difficult. The racecar mass is 980kg (i guess around 2100lb) and has 492hp. My tuscan is 1007kg (2250lb) and has 487 hp. the torque curves appear similar in rev peak and shape, with the tuscan's hp peak occuring later in the rev range.

In a straight line, the two are relatively similar, with the gt40 having slightly longer legs. Unfortunately the tuscan is washing out in high speed sweeps/curves like the S at midfield. My suspension settings are

Springs: 12f/12r
Ride: 90 f + r
Bound/ rebound: 6 all round
Camber: 0.5 f/0.0r
Toe: 0/0
Rollbars: 6/6
Brakes: 17/17

Seems that fixing the mid corner washout induces slow corner oversteer in bags.:banghead:

Any suggestions???

i'd like to say that the TVRspeed6 is not as well-handing as its weight appears. try to tune springs as:11.5f/8.8r, camber:1.9f/0.8r, toe:0.5f/0.0r, and see what will happen

Thanks NOS. I tried everything i knew to get the understeer under wraps but nothing worked. Then, after much debate i slapped on a yukky race mod and the handling has improved ten fold. I can match the gt40 times at midfield, and beat my bro in a race at the weekend, altho there were a few large offs had by both of us. Still very interested to see how you get along with it:)

Well, if anybody is interested.... ....not....well the tuscan is a lark when doing the gt300. Taught mr cusco a lesson. Anyway, my bubble was burst on two fronts. My bro kicked my arse in a time trial shhot out with the amemiya RX7, then i booted his ass in an oh-so-sweet 22b. Man that car rocks. Back to the drawing board in the suspension division cos everytime i take a hi speed corner, feels like im cresting the 2nd last turn at tahiti...:banghead:
