Prolly a simple problem but I can't explain it well.......

ok, i have a single layer that i have edited to my liking. I want to take this layer and copy it and put it into another image. For the life of me I don't know what to do after I'm done editing the layer to copy it. Edit/copy isnt available, and therefore I can't very well do a ctrl+c. I tried locking it. Doesn't work, I'm clueless.

Ok update: I found out how to move the whole image..I did a select all, but i don't want the whole entire box frame image, just the shape i was working on within the image to be copied tot he clipboard...

Make sure you have the layer you edited, or the area you want to copy/paste selected in the layers tab.

Make sure the layer you want to copy is selected. Select all of it (Ctrl+A) and then copy (Ctrl+C). New image and paste (Ctrl+V).
