proper racing league ladder

Hi all,

I was just curious,

Having a background on the pc in fps and playing competitively my clan was always a member of a league (like clanbase.co.uk) where different teams would sign up (much like here in gtp) and clan base setup game types for different teams to (in fps world) war...


What I was curious about ... Does gt have this as in I know there are a load of "race leagues" out there running pretty much the same thing.... But are there race clubs... I have seen the gtp tag out there... So we could have club v club style ladder?

Would it be worth thinking about... So the people who run all the different leagues like, turtle, snail, ordl, and many others all get together thrashout a few series (they would all have valuble input, and lots of lessons learned from running thier own league) they would kind of be like an fia... Doing this could allow for people who have or would never have crossed paths race, etc

Something like this could mean we could have clubs setup where we can still run (basically what we are) thier own races, plus schedules series to compete in,
and see how it goes, maybe if GTP are up for it they could be the hosting site (hosting as in its run via here) as let's face it when it comes to gt it's gtp that has possibly the biggest gt community, everyone knows about it and we all visit here .


At the end of the year maybe GTP could put up a presentation post

Hi,

Its a good idea, we have ran an event against Powerhouse Racing Team and kept the point scoring on our website. It turned out to be a great event albeit attendance was difficult for both teams at times. 10 rounds over 10 weeks would suit us as that's what we usually run, it gives all times time to prep and work around their current schedules.

If we could get some more teams interested we could maybe look at hosting the functions required over at ORDL if GTP cannot accommodate separate forum for this kind of thing. We can implement tables etc but it would require people registering with us which then makes things a little more difficult to manage.

If GTP could set aside an area for this with team managers reporting directly to them with results etc for them to kindly manage it would certainly draw interest from a lot of parties. Like you say, an official management set up like an FIA would benefit all and could turn into potentially one of the biggest club v club arrangements available.

I can pop back later with suggestions based on what we have learnt so far if we can get enough groups involved for a regular series.

Happy days, this was the kind of responce I was really hoping for, I do hope this will kick off

Any input into how you think it could work is exactly what we need for it to be a success, I do imagine there being some conflicts along the way but I'm sure with a bit of give and take we will get there,

Hopefully what we will end up with is a club system that drivers and clubs will be ranked, and it could carry on for years,

I have contacted a lot of race league people (hopefully the right ones, apologies if I missed anyone)

Been so busy I forgot the inter club v club thread. We are signed up to it ready for the new year so lets see how many want to get involved.

Yeah ordl, we are in the inter club vs club (human in the loop) quite a Lot of clubs are headed over there

As I state over there for club vs club, if a club wants to challenge turtle, contact me basically they will go off our settings as they are joining us.

Were not so much into which club wins, we just welcome all have them race with us and ill be mentioning them a lot like a feature event. Theres a lot more detail into it as well. I know turtle works with crap and has been a crazy hit for both of us and been super successful!

Again were open to have a club vs club special event and I can give you details on that if your interested other than that I encourage you all to join us on saturday night's but sometimes that doesn't work for you thanks
