With this new cockpit view for standard cars, I couldn't wait to see what cars like the Jay Leno Tank car and Plymouth Prowler would have to offer - seeing as how their interiors are at least textured in to begin with.
While it is cool to get a close up look at all the guages, the tank car's interior is really low-res with very obscure, static guages. Looks like nothing was changed on it in preparation for the standard car interior view.
And then you have the Prowler... though it's clearly no premium in comparison to the models in the NCD, it definitely seems touched upon by PD and given some special attention. The door panels have a leathery sheen to them, and the tachometer and speedometer are operational and readable. There are small little details, like some of the texturing around the center console and the glove box. It just looks like a lot of the interior was actually modeled... very nice suprise.
I had always thought the prowler was one of the better look standards, and now that it has this updated interior - its become some sort of hybrid standard car... not exactly up to par with premiums but much more detailed than the standards.
Are there any more of theses hybrid standards?
