Its rumoured to work but you will need a ps3 controller to operate the PSN button. No special functionality on the ps4 controller though.

Are the thumbsticks any better than the ds3 sticks or are they the same loose, flailing, weenie stubs?

They are so much better. The controller is a MASSIVE improvement over the DS3. It has more weight, the triggers are actually triggers so you fingers don't just slide off, the analog sticks are concave instead of convex, it's just a major improvement.

Not to mention the elongated handles on the DS4 are way more comfortable fitting for people with large hands. It definitely sucked going back to a DS3 after playing with DS4.

Reviving this thread due to the news that the DS4 works wirelessly with the PS3 now. Has anyone had a chance to try it out with GT6?

I wouldn't be surprised it worked. Almost any controller, even generic PC controllers with a USB connection work with the PS3. Why wouldn't a real Sony one work?

I had heard that the triggers did not work as analog triggers, similar to using the USB adapter and a 360 controller. Obviously this defeats the purpose of them, so before buying one I wanted to confirm that all the buttons and axes worked the same as with a DS3.

See this is the problem I think I'm going to have with the DS4, I've been a D-pad user for steering since 1998, X for gas and square for brakes. Its like they are trying to force people to use the analog sticks to steer with on the DS4. I've heard the D-pad on the DS4 is different from the DS3 with no pressure sensitivity. I'm curious to see how this is going to play out, I guess another reason they want everybody to transition to a wheel. I guess no DS3 support for the PS4 either.

You don't need a wheel, just use the stick and triggers. It takes a while to getused to the triggers but it's overall faster than X and square.

well its just installing the 1.09 update , and i got a ps4 few weeks ago.
And jees , after playing some games on the ps4 with the ds4 the ds3 feels so ''weird'', i got it connected to the ps3 now wireless and yes the PS button doesnt work.

I repley later if all the buttons work and triggers and sticks.

UPDATE: oke guys unfornatly it doesnt work, you can use the ds4 to go trough menus in the XMB you can start up gt6 , but as soon your in the menus of gt6 it doesnt work anymore
