PS Eye new idea (Only for Wheel + H shifter + Cockpit view)

The animation of H type shifting looks weird like robotic and delay. What if use PS eye tech to detect when your hand left from the steering, at the same time in game driver's hand also left from steering and put on the shift knob prepare for shifting command. So you can feel the animation looks much more responsive and almost sync to the real time. I know this is pointless feature, but for who already had PS eye, is not a bad thing.
 
The drivers hand already goes to the shifter when the RPM approaches the redline.

I think the PS eye should be able to tell if you are fat or not, and make the driver's model match that, as well as sandbag your car with the extra weight

Hmmm I'm not sure about the PS eye reading your arm movement. As in, I'm not sure I would be interested in that. What I do am interested is to know if anyone know of any thread discussing the rather stiff and robotic gear changing animations. I'd love to read what GTplaneteers has to say on that matter.

That in theory is a very good idea,doubt the tech is there though.

The idea is good (esp for a better in-car replay viewing or cockpit racing) and the tech is definitely able to, just doubt someone would be given the job to implement it :crazy:

RPM approaches the redline is for shift up, how about shift down?

Hey, it's not a pointless feature. You can flip people off who hit you into a wall. lol
 
Everyone seems to be shooting him down, but if your in cockpit view it could add some extra imersion, definatly not the worst idea ive heard.

Not the worst idea ever, but it doesn't really add much compared to any number of other features they could add. Getting head tracking working well and in all modes would be a much better use of the time.
