PS2 scarface on PS3

Has anybody tried running Scarface (PS2) on their PS3?

My bro is playing this game and it lags majorly all the time. Any way to fix it?

According to the support page if your playing on a PS3 which is 60GB and has the EE/GS chip onboard (the ones sold in asia and early on in america) then it will run fine......

However if you have the 80GB or new 60GB consoles which use PS2 software emulation it says that you will have a problem with heavy lag on scarface and unfortunately until sony release an update which they may not there is nothing that you can do. I think you have a console in this category from what you have described as the problem...

I dont think Sony took out the chip to save money. They took it out to push PS2 sales if we want to enjoy the greatest console ever.
