PS3 HDD Question

So I have my trusty PS3 Slim with its original 250GB hard drive installed. I would like to upgrade the hard drive to a higher capacity, like 500GB, and I know traditional hard drives will work, but has anyone installed a solid state or solid state hybrid drive to their system? Have you seen improvements over the traditional hard drive? Is it worth upgrading to the newer technology?

Both my PS3's have SSD's in them. Really it's only a slight increase in speed over normal drives (regaurding load times). If you have the cash I say go for it :) If not just get a normal 2.5 and wait a little longer while loading.

I would not use an SSD in a PS3.
Its hardware can not take advantage of the speed and the OS system does not support trim so the SSD will slow down and may fail sooner.
