Hey there!
I seem to be having a problem getting the picture on my PS3 to work properly. I tried looking up my problem on Google, but have found no solutions...however, I think I know why.
I'm sure you have seen problems across the internet of people having issues trying to get picture with an HDMI cable, but only to get a black screen. I'm having a black screen problem myself, only this is a bit different...
Yesterday I took my PS3 to my friend's house so I could use his internet (because mine isn't very good) to get the update for GT6 and to download the Anniversary content. He has an HD tv, so I hooked up my PS3 to his TV using his HDMI cable. Everything went well, and I was able to do everything that I went there to do. The problem had occurred when I got home; I hook my PS3 back up to my bedroom TV, using the standard yellow, white, and red video/audio cables that the console comes with (because my bedroom TV isn't HD). When I turn it on, I get a black screen with no audio. I even let it sit there to see if the picture would convert back to the regular picture that you would see on a regular TV...which it did not. Something tells me that I had to revert the picture back to normal before I left my friend's house, which is total bull crap because I did this same exact procedure with my Xbox 360 when I wanted to download stuff at my friend's house, and the Xbox would always convert the picture back to normal when I would hook up the standard video/audio cables. The PS3 either does not do this, or I am missing something here.
Does anybody know what to do to fix this problem? Or do I have to find out how to revert the picture back to normal without being able to see the user interface? If that's the case, could someone show me the correct button combination I would need to push to get from where the user interface starts you out at, to the point where I get the menu that reverts the picture back to regular TV mode?
I'm sorry but this has me so frustrated. I can't even enjoy GT6 because of stupid PS3 problems. -_-
