My TV won't show the PS3 signal anymore, please read and see if you can help me.

I have a 20" CRT TV which I been playing my PlayStation3 on, which works fine - using the provided scart cable. This weekend I had my brother visiting and he bought his 32" HD ready screen with him. We connected that with a HDMI cable and worked fine. Now that he is gone and took his TV with him, I plugged the old 20" TV back on with the scart cable, but I'm not getting any signal from the PS3

I made sure..
.. that the cable is in the TV, and even tried both scart ports,
.. I really turned on the PS3,
.. that I waited the initial 5-10 seconds for the PS3 to show anything,
.. I tried all four AV(source) channels more then three times,
.. I tried it all over again with restarting the PS3 and TV.

Could it be that when we hooked up the HD TV and changed the settings in the PS3 menu to give its signal trugh a HDMI, it only wants HDMI now, which is prevending it from sending a signal trugh the scart cable? Or that we changed the resolution on the PS3 to 720p which the old TV won't run with? Is there a way to reset that? Maybe some blind instructions to get to the right menu and change it back? Or is it some entirely different issue?

Help! :nervous:

Try activating the PS3 by pressing the I/O pad and hold it a few seconds until the PS3 beeps again. Should trigger the PS3 to try all outputs until it finds one with a connected TV. I suppose your PS3 is still configured for HDMI, so a Scart cable won't receive a signal.

I had it happen to me too, It was in the instructions within the first few pages...

Yeah, I should have looked there first - It just didn't come to my mind, but my manuals are in some Slavic language, which I don't understand. 👍
