PS3 Rumor Price cut + GT5 Release?

Reeves then went on to say that the PS3 has a bigger install base than the 360 in PAL territories, and that the install base gap will significantly increase in 2009. Apparently SCEE is the success story of the SCE divisions, generating more profit than SCEA and SCEJ. 2008 sees it 'in the black' in profit our inside man revealed. Apparently there are more technological innovations to come for both PS3 and PSP, but details weren't disclosed.



If this is true, then we could be expecting GT5 to be released in March also...Just something to think about, could be just a coincidence

But what makes you think March is the expected release date anyway? The only rumour came from a car magazine so far, othewise nothing else to back that claim that it would be very early in 2009.

The fact that sony's sales are all going to be focused on fall08-spring09 and since sony owns GT series they are going to push a price cut and release of the game around the same time to get the most sales possible becuase GT is the #1 selling product for sony.

The fact that they are leaking out a march price cut should hint to you guys who dont know anything about sales that we might be seeing a GT5 release in spring.

If gt5 is not released in spring , sonys sales will not be as high as it would... about a 900% loss in sales just from that timeframe

If GT5 were coming out in Spring, we would be seeing way more advert content from all now. The only news we got really so far was from that blogger guy who got an insider's view at the PD studio. I mean, I know GT5P is already out and can be considered a marketing tool to GT5 in itself, but we would have been seeing some content to play with from now. Also, IGN's interview revealed that the game is still not near finished in terms of contend, and I doubt PD is gonna rush it too much to spoil it.

Fall and spring are very far apart in my opinion so we can't rly estimate sales margins in the period....everyone is banking on a fall release (even though we all would like it out earlier )

It's not 2010. Enough sources say it's 2009. Also I don't know why you all are harbouring on this March thing. No one ever said it was march.
