As you all (may) know, the 2 USB connectors of the PS3/PS4 are mostly not enough, once you use a wheel/shifter/USB memory stick/dongle for wireless headset, loading controllers etc...
I bought a powered USB3 hub with 4 connectors, which solved my problem.
I connected the Thrustmaster T500RS to the first USB connector of the PS3, the USB hub to the second.
Everything worked fine without any issues. The Hub was placed right next to the PS3 and that worked fine for several months.
Now I have also a PS4, which is connected the exact same way, but the Pulse headset does not work like it should. It is active for a few minutes, then connection gets lost, reconnects after a few seconds, gets lost, reconnects and so on. It communicates on 2,4 GHz RF.
Shifter and wheel work fine, loading the headset and controller also.
I found a solution today: I moved the USB3 hub AWAY FROM THE PS4 (it is now mounted on the shifter holder of my rig, about 50cm away from the PS4.
Works like a charm now.
Hope this tip can help others who might encounter the same issue. 💡
Edit: just noticed title is not correct, the headset is wireless, not BT...
