Hi can someone please advise what I need to do to get PCars to detect my Thrustmaster T500RS?

Initially I thought it required a firmware update, and connected it laptop to try update, there I got multiple issues with USB not detecting etc. So I thought maybe I need to do the boot loader recovery etc.. had a heart attack as it didn't work.

Finally I reconnected it back to PC, and it functions fine, it shows it is on V43 firmware.
Then I reconnected it back to PS4, and fired up Drive club it works fine, fired up The Crew it works fine.
So i retried PCars and its not working! I can't even see it detected!!

What do I need to do? I thought It was my profile, so I started another profile and chose "Pro".
Still doesn't show up! Help!

The controls screen only shows wireless controller, see screenshot.

Is it registered as controller 1? I had that problem with my T300. now I start with only the T300 plugged in and the when the game is going I press the PS button on the controller.

Hope this helps.

I had the same issue this morning (after working fine for the two previous days).
Tried everything, no luck.
Plugged it in the PS3/GT6: it worked.
Plugged it in the PC: it worked.

Finally (I ejected the disc and put it back) Project Cars detected the wheel again and it works again,
No idea what happened...

Same problem here. I thought I was going to tear my hair out. Ok, make sure when you turn on the ps, and are still in the menu, plug in your wheel. Let it calibrate. Next with your controller start the game, the wheel should re calibrate again, stopping off centre. Now this is the important bit!

When it finishes loading, it will ask you to press x or start on the device you wish to use. DONT touch the controller but hit X on the wheel. It should recognise it and you will be able to go in the menus. Never hit x on the controller.

Let me know if it worked.

This !!

You need to press X from your wheel at the beginning of the game.

Sadly afterwards you cannot use controller to navigate the menu

Yes it is annoying, I hope they fix it.
I have not so much problems with that, but I do have problems when I try to make changes in the general setup.
I always get that stupid message that not all required (?) are assigned and from then on I seem to have no way to exit in a normal way.
I can find nowhere which of them are required, moreover I am pretty limited in the quantity of buttons on the T500RS wheel.

I was having a similar problem with my controller and T300GTE connected last night at the same time, I went in to the PS menu from my wheel (pressing down silver adjuster thing on the GTE), returned to the game using the X and it was almost like doing so made the wheel the priority controller over the DS4.

Bit of a fiddle and I had to restart PCARS a couple of times before finding that.

For some reason i can't get my T300 GTE working in PS4 mode, yet it works in PS3 mode shows as a T500 crazy!

its the critical ones on the left hand side. handbrake, wipers, lights. make sure they are all assigned.
